    Robust DNS Settings

Really appreciate your help, Dave :-) WAN down browser redirect is enabled: These are my current, working DNS settings: As soon as I replace DNS Server1 with 8.8.8.8, the router thinks the Internet is down.

    Robust DNS Settings

stubby seems to back off increasingly longer. Here is a snippet: (3 DNS servers configured: 1.1.1.1, 9.9.9.9, and 8.8.8.8) [19:19:26.018545] STUBBY: 8.8.8.8 : Conn closed: TLS - *Failure* [19:19:26.018803] STUBBY: 1.1.1.1 : Conn...

Thanks, Dave. This is very interesting. Is there a stubby log file?

    Robust DNS Settings

DNS stops working because 8.8.8.8 does not reply. There is no fall over to the other DNS server (9.9.9.9) in the list. Network monitoring is enabled, as well as connmon which clearly shows that 8.8.8.8 is not reachable. What I would like to do is to configure dnsmasq in a way that it...

    Robust DNS Settings

I am having issues with Google DNS currently. The router claims to be disconnected from the Internet. connmon, using 8.8.8.8, shows 0 for the last hour. My settings are: WAN DNS Settings: DNS Server 1: 8.8.8.8 DNS Server 2: 1.1.1.1 DNS Privacy Protocol: DNS-over-TLS (DoT) DNS-over-TLS...

    384.17 Addons-Menu

Looks like the Addons link came back by itself. I assume this has to do with the WAN connection down and coming back up, according to the log, and service scripts running.

    384.17 Addons-Menu

I have the same problem that the add-on page has disappeared. I have connmon and spdmerlin installed. This happened after I had to reboot after a power outage today. Another reboot did not fix it. How can I get the add-on page back?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Yes, an A rating with Adaptive QoS + FlexQoS is possible: This is on a 100Mbit/s up/down Fiber connection. I think your very low upload bandwidth is the culprit.

    FlexQoS Experimental rate graphs

Thanks for the background. This makes a lot of sense.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@JohnSmith : I have been seeing the same issues with QoS since I changed to the RT-AX88U running 384.19. As @dave14035 mentioned, the best way to deal with it, is to reboot after any QoS-related changes. However, there is one more thing you can do, so you do not have to reboot every time there...

    FlexQoS Experimental rate graphs

Dave, this looks really good :) What is the time span displayed here? Would it make sense to make this time span customizable (within meaningful limits)?

connmon connmon - Internet connection monitoring

Thank you, @Jack Yaz , for this awesome monitoring tool. I especially love these very informative graphs :)

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

This is encouraging :) Why does the count go down the first time?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Hi Dave, when the signatures are automatically updated, FlexQoS runs afterwards and re-applies the tc rules. However on HND routers such as the RT-AX88U, the tc rules are added instead of the existing ones being replaced which leads to an increase of the rule count every time FlexQoS applies...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I can also confirm that there are never any modifications done at 3:30am.

    Can't Login to GUI

I have seen this unresponsive GUI issue also on older firmware versions on the RT-AC68U. I have not seen it (yet) on the RT-AX88U. This might be router-specific.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Thank you for the explanation. Now this makes sense :)

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Hi Dave, according to your release notes: Add DoT port 853 to router traffic exclusion hard-coded rule. However I see my 853 (mark 1400C5) traffic being redirected to Web Surfing by the AppDB redirection rule: I thought "hard-coded" referred to this not being applied?

Thanks, Dave. This is very useful, especially for Zoom and Skype.
