FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

What are your iptables rules? I wonder if I miss some useful ones. Here are mine: Also thinking about adding some for Stadia: UDP/TCP 44700 - 44899: Gaming.

    AC86U - fiber , Lan = 900Mb WiFi = 60Mb

QoS is useful if the bandwidth is limited then it is beneficial to prioritize the packets. As long as you don't saturate your Gbit bandwidth, QoS hardly provides any benefits with the downside that the router cannot keep up anymore. A more powerful router gives you more bandwidth with QoS but I...

RT-AX88U : VLAN Tagged setup (ethctl news ?)

    This blog might be helpful.

    AC86U - fiber , Lan = 900Mb WiFi = 60Mb

QoS needs a lot of compute power therefore your bandwidth suffers. In the process CTF is turned off. Keep QoS off for the full bandwidth, you don't need QoS for GBit bandwidth.

Asus RT-AC68U 384.19 Firmware freeze issues

This seems to work for some, it has never worked for me. I always had to power down the router.

    Cisco AnyConnect VPN client issues

I use Cisco AnyConnect V4.9.00086 for work. I don't see any drop. Using RT-AX88U. Also, no problems with RT-AC68U in the past before I had the AX.

Asus RT-AC68U 384.19 Firmware freeze issues

The GUI being not accessible is a well-know, old problem. This is one thread. There are more posts if you search for them. I don't think anybody has found the root cause, yet. I experienced it myself multiple times, once after 60 days of uptime.

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

Sorry, this is not the MAC address of my Apple TV. This is an iPhone and unrelated to this. However, I solved the mystery why only my Samsung TV showed these Link UP and DOWN message in the syslog. The RT-AX88U has 8 Ethernet ports and they are grouped like this: Interface Physical Port...

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

I agree, I would expect the same messages for other devices. I unplugged the Apple TV box and these are the only messages that I get: Sep 12 10:03:19 WLCEVENTD: Disassoc B8:53:AC:44:31:DE Sep 12 10:03:19 WLCEVENTD: Disassoc B8:53:AC:44:31:DE Sep 12 10:03:19 hostapd: eth7: STA b8:53:ac:44:31:de...

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

An A/V receiver, Apple TV, PS3, and an unmanaged switch.

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

You are right. I disabled STP in the router and these messages still show up. Why does no other devices connected to the router generate these messages?

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

I don't think the TV causes a network storm. As a matter of fact, I don't think there are any network loops or problems except the TV triggers something STP-related which disturbs the network.

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) interrupting network traffic (streaming)

I have been hunting down a sporadic issue where (audio) streaming activity has been interrupted on my network. I think I finally tracked it down to my Samsung Smart TV which generates this in the syslog every time it's turned on or off: Sep 11 12:37:44 kernel: eth1 (Ext switch port: 0) (Logical...

Anyone even gets anything counted on AiProtection?

Thanks. I tried it and it triggered a malicious site alert and increased the count. This is the easy one to trigger. However I would like to to test Two-Way IPS and Infected Device Prevention and Blocking? How do I trigger these?

Anyone even gets anything counted on AiProtection?

Does anyone know a simple way to test Two-Way IPS and Infected Device Prevention and Blocking?

Anyone even gets anything counted on AiProtection?

AiProtection did not show anything, no graphs, for my RT-AC68U but at least Malicious Sites Blocking seemed to be working. Since I switched to the RT-AX88U, AiProtection and its graphs have been working and I have a couple of hits in Malicious Sites Blocking. I have never ever seen any hit in...

    QoS Advice Request

I recommend FlexQoS the successor of FreshJrQoS. I also have an RT-AX88U and it works great. However there is an issue how tc works compared to older Asus routers: make sure you reboot the router once you are done with the configuration of FlexQoS.

Solved Big drop in connection speeds

You mentioned speeds dropped dramatically. From where to where? I am using AiProtection without any problems or speed impact on an RT-AX88U and 100Mbit/s up & down.

Recommended Method of Debugging Connectivity Issues

I used to run FreshJr's QoS on my RT-AC68U which worked great. So, FlexQoS was a logical choice :) for my new AX88. I have never tried Cake. I'm a strong believer of not messing with a running system:p

Recommended Method of Debugging Connectivity Issues

QoS is more a function of the available bandwidth not the underlying technology. QoS has been working quite well with the 100Mbit/s up & down.
