FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Dave, could you please include this issue with the AX88 in your FlexQoS release notes? And maybe mention the work-around to reboot after any change to the FlexQoS rules are done in the GUI? Thank you for debugging this :)

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

After a router reboot all the traffic seems to show up correctly. What happens during a reboot vs when AppDB settings on the web page are changed?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I have the exact same priorities as you. It has worked well in the past with my RT-AC68U. Now I migrated to the RT-AX88U.

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Thank you very much, Dave, for your dedication. You have done a lot of hard work when you took over the development. FlexQoS is incredibly useful and makes Adaptive QoS on Asus routers so much better. Also, I am grateful for your debugging FlexQoS on the RT-AX88U:) Keep up the great work!

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@dave14305: There is a discrepancy in color coding (light blue vs dark blue) on the FlexQoS Traffic Classification page compared to regular Traffic Classification page (see highlighted below). Is this just a visual bug or does this have deeper consequences? Could you please fix this? Would it...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

What I don't understand is that in the tracked connections list there are two categories HTTP Protocol over TLS SSL (light blue) and Sony Playstation (brown) however the traffic is in the File Transferring (dark blue) category which does not even show up in the list for the PS4. Shouldn't the...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I have never installed FreshJR on this new router (AX88). The screenshot was from the old router (AC68). All these screenshots are from the new router with FlexQoS. I changed the iprules tables: Started a new PS4 game download: The traffic has now moved to File Transferring! Out of the...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

There are no other connections listed under Gaming except from the PS4 (see screenshot in original post). Before, there was no need to have an extra rule for my PS4 however I just compared my old FreshJR QoS configuration with the FlexQoS and it seems like there was rule !80,443 (first in the...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

@dave14305 I am very thankful that you took over the development of FreshJr's QoS script and continue as FlexQOS :) I switched from FreshJr's version to yours today and observed that game downloads are not correctly classified. They are in the Gaming instead of the Game Downloading...

    RT-AX88U as reliable as RT-AC68U?

My RT-AC68U (with Merlin) has been incredibly stable and reliable for the past three or four years :) For the upcoming switch to gigabit service, I am looking to upgrade to the RT-AX88U which seems very capable and also supporting the next-gen WiFi standard. I have been trying to get a feeling...

    AIMESH or Access Points.. ???

I agree. However for the typical non-technical person, mesh networks should be simply plug'n'play, so the selling factor is simplicity and as you said it's cool:cool:

    AIMESH or Access Points.. ???

You can use WiFi instead of the powerlines. Give it a try and compare: Click on the AiMesh Node icon, select the node on the right, click More Config, select Connection Priority : Auto. You need to disconnect the Ethernet cable from the powerline adapter. This will force it to use the WiFi...

    AIMESH or Access Points.. ???

I use two RT-AC68U with AiMesh, with Ethernet backhaul, and it works well and is stable. I used to run the second one in AP mode. Performance-wise I don't see a difference however there are some differences between AiMesh and AP. Biggest plus for AiMesh is the central management. Settings of...
