External antenna from PCE-AC68 PCIe card

Those look like the the same stock antennas that come with Asus routers. Is there something different about them do you have any gain specs ? Or were you just wanting to keep the router in the cabinet and have the antennas outside the cabinet. I suppose all you can do is give it a try and see...

External antenna from PCE-AC68 PCIe card

What model antenna did you order ? Did you order just one or all three and the biggest issue are they duel band antennas the cover both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz ?

External antenna from PCE-AC68 PCIe card

Yeah there have been multiple threads with people trying different high gain antennas and in most cases it dont work any better and in some cases worse. Just getting the router out of your cabinet will probably make the biggest difference. Good Luck with it.

RT-N66u Still has the best range?

At this point i would not even consider a N router unless price is an issue. AC is the future and thats what i would buy the AC68U or P is a great router dont worry about heat they are designed to run this way its not really a issue.

SECURITY: LAN-side security hole - mitigation

Has anyone heard any official word when Asus plans to patch this issue ? Do they even consider it high priority ? I would have thought they would have done something this cant be to difficult to fix.

    Can't unscrew RT-N66U antenna

At the bottom of the antenna were you put your fingers to tighten the antenna there is a round plastic piece with grooves for traction those can come loose and spin around is this maybe your issue ? If so try some needle nose pliers and carefully apply a little pressure there and turn.

    RT-AC68U Power switch failure..

I have considered that but then i have to pay more money for shipping and probably have the same defective switch put right back in it. I am not sure what i will do with this $200.00 paper weight as of yet. Might just chalk it up as a loss and put the shipping money into a new router. At least i...
