    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48 is out

Update, it has less then 24 hours and the router has lost its IPv6 address for no apparent reason. IPv6 is definitely borked in 376.48_1 as stated by others. Back to John's fork 374.43_2 ver 6.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48 is out

Hey Roger. John's fork is a updated version of Merlin's 374.43_2 firmware that has always been a solid performer. John has taken this build and added the security fixes of the new 376 builds and a few features of his own. I have used the fork on my N66U and my AC68U and it works well on both...

    N-66U Power Output Questions

5 Ghz only covers one room ?? Not sure what router your using my 68U covers my whole 1800 square foot house using 5Ghz here with no problems or drop in connectivity or connection speed. What point would there be to having wireless AC only on the 5 Ghz band if it only covered one room. :)

Bad 5Ghz, what tweaks do you have to boost 5Ghz?

Not sure if you can get channel 161 in your region maybe someone else can answer that. As far as 80 MHZ you are using the N66 that is not a AC router so your only going to get up to 40 MHZ thats as far as a N router will go.

    UPNP, Enable or Disable ?

No i never found out what was trying to open the port. I upgraded firmware to Merlins latest 376.45 when it was released and i have not seen this in the log since then.

[HELP] Transmit power restriction for RT-N66U

With all the new Merlin and Asus releases from now on you can only adjust the power to 100% that means there is no way to make the router do more then 80 mw.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.44 Beta 1 is out

Dont be sorry its not your fault. The N66U was at end of life support when Asus switched to the SDK6 driver. Thats why i bought the 68U. Its to bad though at one time it was one of the best. Sadly it has been crippled by drivers, firmware and the FCC. Maybe its time you took a break from this and...

@ Merlin any idea when there will be a 376.44 final ? I would like to give it a try.

    Downgrade from AC87R to AC68U?

That should not cause the router to switch channels if you have selected a channel of your choice and not set to auto. I understand the router forcing 20 MHZ but not force a channel change.

    Asus RT87 - Merlin

100% agree that this is a comcast issue but as said before they ask for information from people we give them the info they want and then never hear anything back from there v6 expert. But i know for sure as far as the 68U the 5656 firmware still logs the error.
