memory buffering optimization for ARM devices

Is this 2 separate thing? The memory buffering optimization caches things other than USB disk activities?

memory buffering optimization for ARM devices

Someone explained to it to me your Fw thread. The ram usage is currently over 80% and I didn't input those commands yet. It is by chance the setting didn't get set after the update? I didn't do a factory restore.

Thx for clearing that up. I was looking at my USB drive. I'm guessing the jff is something on the router. Using WinSCP i see a jffs folder in root. Is that where the script goes? Is services-stop a directory I have to made? name it "chmod a+rx"? How do I go about add this code? Do I simply...

    Overclock AC68U

I never messed with it either. I'm not sure if it's Merlin FW only thing but it is doable with his FW. If you want to give it a go read these. You'll need Notepad++ for windows. I have no clue what vi is. I have a folder labeled jffs-20150407-5350. I assume that's the folder it's talking...

Yes, but you can add it to reapply the setting at startup.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

Your conclusion is correct. I read some say the setting is lost after a reboot. I assumed they checked using CPUinfo. I'll report back the result later if you didn't confirm it yet. Is there a way to fix the system time? It's set to Eastern Time US but it's one hour slower than my PC.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

I notice the system time is 1 hour behind. This issue is in the offical FW as well.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

Is it really the EXACT same performance? Didn't merlin say the CPU in the 3200, 87 is faster than the 68u at the same clock speed? I remember him saying it was like a 20% improvement.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 is available

It seem to me there might be an issue with including the reboot cmd when applying the settings. I applied the settings 3 times but doesn't seem to get applied until I leave out the reboot cmd and reboot using the GUI. For those of you with troubles get it to work maybe try it that way. It could...

Yes. The GUI will not display the OC speed. You can only check by using this CMD I use the same OC as you. If you get the results below than your router is OC. You'll lose the setting if you reboot the router.

    RT-AC88U

There're mix reviews. I'm not sure if works or not. It does sounds like snakeoil.

    RT-AC88U

What is this WTfast that's included with the router? Does it have an option in the FW? what kind of subscription is it and does it expires?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 2 is out

Your OC stick if you do that? Can you tell me how put it in services-start?

    Blocking website

Yes. You need to use OpenDNS home to PC Mac id in the DNS filter and make an account at opendns.com to set up the blocking.

    Overclock RT-AC87R

There's a issue with OCing on the lastest FW, if you plan on updating. The OC setting doesn't stick on reboot and the GUI will always display stock. Only way to tell is make note of result using this CMD I think you have to reboot first then OC, reboot for the settings to take effect. It took...

Telnet or SSH. You have to enable those in the Administration--->System. Use Putty to connect to one of those connections.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 1 is out

This issue is on the official FW for my AC68. You have to reboot first then enter the your setting and reboot. I don't know if that exact trick will work. It took me a couple of tries to get it to stick. The GUI and "nvram get clkfreq" will show stock speeds. You have do this to check it...

I wonder if this is intentional.
