    I think he wants the dhcp lease list updated. I'd suggest he shorten the dhcp least time if it really bothers him. It's not going to remove unexpired leases that aren't being used (due to his assignment of static ips on the client), but it will age them off the list quicker.

    Your client has to release the dhcp lease if you want it off your dhcp server’s lease list. If your client doesn’t release the least first, the dhcp server doesn’t know it is connecting with a static op. This is not a bug, this is simply how it works. The dhcp server does not go comparing...

    Don’t upload your saved configuration!!! You’re wasting all your time troubleshooting by doing that. Reset and set up from scratch.

    Sorry. I should have followed up. I have now done all my static lease assignments through this method and I have no more errors described in my Original post.

    You realize, all this time you’ve already spent, you could have started from scratch and have a known good configuration rather than risk creating problems for yourself by migrating settings that might not be compatible with your new router?

    no descriptions and icons. literally just MAC address and ip. I saw there was a way to manually assign the static DHCP assignments in a dnsmasq file. I'm happy to try that too if someone has an instruction link for that.

    I've now created a swap partition. I also turned off the SAMBA server since I'm not using it. All other servers were already off.
