    ASUS AX68U 5GHz Band Dropping / Disappearing

From your description of the problem it almost sounds like you are having an issue with using Smart Connect. If you enabled it I would recommend you turn it OFF (at least while you debug the problem) and create separate SSIDs for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. You could also turn OFF the 2.4Ghz radio...

Best Dual band AX86u or wait for next model ?

I don't have the link to the post but someone recently posted information about a new Asus Wifi 6 router that looked like it would be marketed a tier above the AX86U. It had a newer 2Ghz BCM quad core processor, a larger flat footprint design more similar to the AX82U and four external antennas...

    AX86U sighting

Talking about sightings... I hear Santa has been stocking up on them for Christmas. ;)

    RT-AX88U Thoughts

Get the better of both worlds. Wall mount shelves for vertical routers are inexpensive ($15). You can add an eight port gigabit switch to the AX86U for a total of eleven usable ports (5 + 8 =13... minus 2 for connecting them) for less than $20 USD. I like the use of the word "demonstrably". :D

AX router for property with two living quarters

Certainly try them out and see how it works. I can't speak for the AX68U because it's relatively new so it doesn't have much of a track record. I don't own one and I haven't read many reviews on it. You can only hope that they are reliable in the long term. Not all of the newer Asus routers have...

Is RT-AX86U being discontinued by ASUS?

You need to be persistent and patient but the RT-AX86U does become available at online retailers. If you want one at retail cost you need to jump and get it. As I post this B&H Photo and Video has it new and in stock for $279 USD.

AX router for property with two living quarters

That's an understandable mistake. ;) The AX68U is a lower tier model. It's not a bad value for a Wifi 6 router but I question whether two AX68Us set up with AiMesh will be necessarily better in coverage and overall performance than one AX86U. At the time of this post B&H Photo and Video has the...

    RT-AX88U Thoughts

Get the AX86U. There is a reason why everyone is buying it over all the other routers. It's worth the extra money. It's a newer design. It's rock solid reliable. It's a better all around performer and it has a much smaller footprint. If you are persistent you can find it in stock at online...

    rt-ax55 disconnects every few minutes

It is very unlikely there is a problem with your new router. It is more likely an issue with your modem and/or ISP servers having trouble recognizing and registering your new router for a WAN IP address. Try the suggestions already posted. You might also want to turn off all your clients...

    AX86S Slow Wi-Fi 5 and 6

Remember that using speedtest is not a reliable way to test the performance of your router. Results can fluctuate depending on the quality of your ISPs connection to the speedtest servers and how much other internet traffic is connecting to those servers. You can have different speedtest results...

What is the better purchase between the AX88U and AX86U?

I haven't seen many users in this forum posting about hardware problems with the AX86U. I own seven of them for use in mulitiple locations and every one of them has been rock solid reliable for more than a year. This is the first time I've heard of major hardware issues for two different AX86U...

    AX86S Slow Wi-Fi 5 and 6

Your latest wireless speeds don't seem to be that bad. That much difference between download and upload seems odd. Your best way to test wireless is from local sources in your LAN or as recommended in a previous post you can use your wired client WAN up/down speed tests as a reference point...

    AX86S Slow Wi-Fi 5 and 6

The AX86U is solid high performance router. The AX86S is a newer wireless router with slightly lesser features and specs but we don't have many user reviews on it. Therefore it's difficult for other users to determine if you are having configuration and settings issues that are effecting...

Yes, basically the same thing but with a limited edition red paint job.

    RT-AX86 Series

The AX86U has been in high demand since it was released almost a year and a half ago. You have to look around but it's still available at some places. At the time of this post Newegg.com has the Zaku 2 Edition still in stock for $299 USD.

    Asus rt-ax86u 2.5g lan port

I normally would use the gaming port for gaming and assign in the router settings and use the 2.5GbE port for other applications such as file transferring like you would for a normal port. If the device attached to it also supports 2.5GbE then obviously you will have a higher speed transfer on...

    Move from N66U to AC86U or AX68U or AX86U?

The RT-AX86U is an exceptional router and so far it has proven to be a top performer with a highly reliable design. It's a forum user favorite. But if you already have a new in box AC86U and don't want to sell it or spend more money then you could stick with the AC86U. However, for a number of...

    New RT-AX86U

Congrats on your new router purchase ShawnTRD. IMO you bought the best Asus router available right now. I always recommend upgrading to the latest stock firmware right away and make sure the brand new router works properly for you. If there are any hardware or firmware issues then you still...
