    Asus AX92u vs Asus XT8

You should consider giving Asus' mesh solutions another look. There was issues in the past, but AIMesh works great these days. The AX92u has 2x2 AC on the first radio and 4x4 AX on the second. However, it's still good for splitting the load. The 2x2 AC band offers 500mb/s real world speeds...

    Asus AX92u vs Asus XT8

The AX86 and AX88 are only Dual Band.

How to force XT8 mesh into particular topography config

The router is physically in the middle. The satellies are all placed evenly around the router to form a flat square shape (it's a block of apartments). We have a NAS server connected to the main CAP and 2 additional servers which mine crypto currency connected to a node. There's been no issues...

Do you reboot often your router ?

The only time I reboot my routers is when I update the firmware. It's Linux, it shouldn't need rebooting at all. If you are having to reboot, there's something wrong. It's the same with switching devices off overnight. If you do that, the electronics will wear out due to constant temperature...

    Asus RT-AX92U (2-Pack) vs TP-Link Archer AX600 w/RE605x Wi-Fi Range Extender

AX92u will offer 900mb/s to wifi clients if you share the AX wireless backhaul. It also offers gamer centric features such as WTFast and QOS. The AX92u offers amazing pings over WiFi (less than an extra 2ms vs Ethernet). It also handles high traffic. You can torrent, media serve and game at the...

    Asus AX92u vs Asus XT8

The link you posted is for the AX86 and AX88. What's your opinion in the AX92 vs XT8. I'm aware the XT8's are newer and benefit from 2 x AX channels, but I'm cautious with Asus. The antennas are inside the unit whereas the AX92u has external antennas. I'm wondering if that effects range. I...

How to force XT8 mesh into particular topography config

It worked for my AX92u's. I didn't even need to set any bias. As soon as I clicked optimise they rearranged into a star topology. I'm interested in getting XT8's for a new network I'm building. What's the latency like compare to wired? The AX92u's add 1-2ms on WiFi. I'm hoping the XT8's offer...

How to force XT8 mesh into particular topography config

Select the unlink biases you'd prefer. Once complete, goto AI mesh and click optimise. This also fixes the issue of nodes dropping off the network.

Asus ZenWiFi ET8 - Connection Issues

6ghz has less range than 5ghz. Therefore, you definitely don't want to be using it as a backhaul. I personally would take this back and wait until Asus release a 6ghz mesh that also has a 4x4 5ghz channel, that way the 5ghz band would be fast enough to use as a backhaul. The 2x2 5ghz channel on...

    Zenwifi XT8 - Where's 5GHz band c support for UK??

I can confirm my AX92u is also missing band C on the 5g2 channel. I'm based in the UK.

    Asus AX92u vs Asus XT8

The AX92u has an inferior 2.4Ghz radio (wifi4) and one of the 5ghz channels is only AC vs the 2 AX 5ghz channels on the XT8. They both have the same amount of RAM. (512MB) What would you go for instead of the XT8? I'm seeking a mesh solution similar to the AX92u.

    Asus AX92u vs Asus XT8

I currently have a network of 8 x AX92u's. There's definitely been some ups and downs with prior firmware but my units are now running extremely well. I am building a new site which will initially only need 2 nodes, it will be connected to 1Gb/s symmetrical fibre. I am thinking this would be an...

    RT-AX92U going off-line

Go to ai mesh and click optimise. When I first setup my AX92u's I had the same issue. Optimise fixed it.

XD4 AiMesh keeping clients on specific nodes

I can't answer that. However, the reason for buying an AIMesh router is to take advantage of smart connect. If you don't want smart connect (and AI Mesh), you would probably be better off with a traditional router and range extender. A traditional setup would place all of the roaming duties on...

XD4 AiMesh keeping clients on specific nodes

You need to work on the node placement and if required power levels. I'd also look at the bounce detect rules. A combination of these factors could be causing stuck clients. Your goal should always be ensuring the crossover zone is a place no devices will occupy. For example, a hallway...

Asus RT-AX88U Not Getting 1 Gig Connection

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

You shouldn't see any interference in the DFS channels so it might help. However, if there are radar signals nearby then the router will switch the backhaul over to 2.4ghz. The reason for using DFS is to avoid any interference from neighboring AP's. Try it out and see if it works. If the...

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

Tick enable 160mhz, select 160mhz only from the drop down menu. If it does not connect at 160mhz, try every control channel until it does. You have to wait 15 minutes if using dfs channels. In the UK, channel 100 dfs works fine with 160mhz

    Release Asus RT-AX92U - New Firmware: 3.0.0.4.386_45898

Enabling it is different depending on how it's setup. Is yours in dual band smart connect mode or tri band smart connect mode?

Help deciding on which node/satellite should i buy for wireless backhaul

It actually works really well. Then max speed from the router will be around 950mbs, you will still see speeds around 700mb/s on the satellite node.
