    This one is similar with my situation if only using beta RC2 firmware for XT8. (RT-AX86U (Merlin beta 5) with 2 unit XT8 (RC2-10 beta) My way is remove and adding node like you still happen 2.4GHz. But after that I'm just use the optimization button and voila 5GHz backhaul is back...

    It's weird, I also turn on AiProtection but still get my max ISP which is 832.83 Mbps (Down) and 206.39 Mbps (Up)

    same issue if zenwifi ax using beta firmware.. if using official without aimesh 2.0, it connect 5Ghz

    Please just use WPA2 only and avoid mixed or WPA3 alone. The WPA3 still not stable. That's the reason why many problem arise.

    yeah me too.. since I dont use XT8 as my main router and change to AX86U, I also can't use RC2 anymore as the second XT8 will only connect using 2.4GHz only. If only use both XT8 without third router, I can use this RC2 without having any 2.4GHz problem.
