Compatibility Findings with AddOns with GT-BE98 Pro

@Viktor Jaep Just an FYI, I flashed the latest full release of v3006.102.1 on the GT-BE98 Pro, and still have the same errors of "no such device" with BACKUPMON with the same configuration as 3004. So something is still up, I haven't investigated the cause yet, just starting by testing and...

    restart web server from SSH

Not sure about your issue, but to answer your question, MerlinAU addon uses: /sbin/service restart_httpd to restart the httpd webserver, so the above comment is correct.

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

I see a few issues with this idea. One is the user risk involved as you mentioned, the second is the fact that MerlinAU is not designed to flash betas or alphas and this could be a way to circumvent that original design goal. Finally MerlinAU is supposed to 100% automate the process so it can...

Issue with GT-AXE11000 firmware not saving. /data partition mounting in read-only.

I had this exact issue in January on my first AXE11000 I bought from ebay. I tried many things, including flashing directly using commands: And was unable too as seen above. There are other threads around here of the same issue such as...

    GT-BE98 Pro Back It Goes

I couldn't get my AiMesh to connect properly on 6GHz, no matter what I did. My 2 previous routers (AXE11000 as primary and AXE11000 as node) were able use a 6GHz mesh connection from where they are located. The new BE98 Pro in the same location, could only ever connect to the AXE11000 as a...

Compatibility Findings with AddOns with GT-BE98 Pro

To add to this: 1. Router date keeper works for me (post reboot the system logs keep the correct date) 2. AMTM email settings works for me (tested in AMTM and integrated addons like MerlinAU) 3. scMerlin CLI works for me, but not the WebUI. 4. connmon CLI installed, but fails to load the WebUI...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

Well that rules out my theory, seems the share is functional from the router and other devices. Back you to @Viktor Jaep 🤣😉

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.8.20 -Oct 12, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! CIFS/SMB/NFS! (Now available in AMTM!)

I don't mean to send us all the way back to the start. But I didn't see confirmation the network share is actually functional. Is the created network share (Routerbackups) accessible and working from any other windows computer on the same network? (I.e test from any device other than the router...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

For news on Gnuton support, Gnuton just released his 388.7.1 firmware yesterday. (Same time as I got my RT-AX92U Gnuton router setup) The timing worked out, I managed to get lots of movement done and testing done on the Gnuton branch now that I have my hands on the hardware. So far MerlinAU has...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

This is comparing apples to oranges because here (in this thread) we are talking about the risks of update method. Not the updates the themselves. Windows update didn't brick those devices, the updates did. No one blames Windows update for those bricked devices, they blame the updates pushed...

MerlinAU MerlinAU v1.2.6 - The Ultimate Firmware Auto-Updater (**Thread closed due to age**)

I'm confused. Is your concern with bricking a device? Or auto-bricking a device? Because as mentioned already nothing about MerlinAU posts risks to bricking a device. Since it uses the same method as a user through the WebUI, the same risks apply as if you were doing it manually (through the...
