Something Not working correctly with hostname of router screwing up Time Machine

If the PID of avahi keeps increasing, that means the process keeps crashing all the time. Maybe there's something wrong with the config.

Using asus router as "travel router"?

Use your other device (eg. a cellphone) to complete the login form, then have your router spoof the MAC address of the device sould usually do the trick.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

It seems that this problem is caused by booting up the router with 6in4 enabled. If I disable 6in4, then do a reboot, then re-enable 6in4, 6in4 would work indefinitely.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

It seems that this has something to to with torrenting. I'm seeding lots of downloads on my local server. Whenever I restart all my tasks, IPv6 will fail.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

No, I am still looking for a way to reliably reproduce this. Sometimes the router can go on for days without problem, sometimes IPv6 will just stop working minutes after the reboot.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

The IPv4 ping is working fine all the time. Router can ping outside, outside can ping router, clients can ping outside. I disabled all firewalls via webGUI. I want to rule out possible casues. The router's only client now is a raspberry pi 4. Nothing to lose.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

I understand that the pourpose of a tunnelbroket.ent "DDNS" is to report the IPv4 address of my router so HE's 6in4 server could authenticate my traffic, but my IPv4 address does not change, and is already reported to HE. So I don't think any further update is necessary. My old router does not...

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

Thanks for the tip. I do not use DDNS, because the WAN port IPv4 address never changes. I checked. Besides if the WAN port IPv4 address changes, ping would stop working on the router.

Solved 6in4 IPv6 stops working after a while on AX88U

I bought an AX-88U to replace my old router. I use 6in4 provided by HE's tunnelbroker to enable IPv6 on my LAN. I have been using HE's 6in4 for a long time with my old router and it was able to go on for months without interruption. Now with my new AX88U, IPv6 connection stops working after 3-5...

    Do you use reboot schedular

I agree, this is why I switched besides its being discontinued, but my point is is not about performance. Yeah that's the lesson I learned, but sometimes the responsbility is just too much for an average consumer. In my own experiences, enabling traffic analyzer freezed-up the file system, and...

    Do you use reboot schedular

I like to point out that this these routers are consumer-grade products so some level of foolproofness is expected out of it. The existence of a combination of settings that will slowly run a router to the ground means that it is not thoroughly tested. Well I know some problems that only...

    Do you use reboot schedular

By the way what is the longest uptime you have on your routers?

    Do you use reboot schedular

I don’t want to go that route because I’m not physically close to the routers, and if it’s reset, I will lose access to it.

    Do you use reboot schedular

When the uptime of my routers exceeds 14 days, they start to drift into the twilight zones. Sometimes the DNS server is not working, sometimes the SSH server is not responding, sometimes the webGUI does not load. I initially laughed at the existence of a reboot schedular function becasue I had...

    Has Asus abandoned asuscomm.com DDNS

You have two options: Get a VPS with public IP and run Zerotier on it. Try to talk to your ISP. My ISP gave me public IP after I asked for it.
