    Thanks for bringing this up. My esitimation is based on the ping result between two ZenWiFi XT8 nodes that are connected using the 5GHz-2 band Wi-Fi. And the ping result is 31 packets transmitted, 31 packets received, 0% packet loss round-trip min/avg/max = 1.395/2.868/5.120 ms

    Thanks for the suggestion, but the added delay is undesirable here. 20ms of delay is a threshold lower than which I try to keep the connection, and the current unsecured setup is already at 17ms.

    The price I paid for a set (2 units) is 3699 CNY. This price includes 13% VAT (refundable if you own a company in China). I'm very happy with the performance, though stability wise Apple's AEBS which XT8 replaces is superior. Each unit has one 2.5G WAN port.

    Did you by any chance disable Samba sharing in the share settings? Samba needs to be enabled for TM function to work on a non-HFS partition.

    Are you saying the drive is not visible to macOS when the disk is directly attached to your mac, or that after attaching the disk to the router, and enabling TM function on the router for the this EXT4 partition, your macs still don't see it?
