    That thing feels like a addon they threw in there, and I believe it needs update. The whole thing is broken and never worked for me. You need to parallelize your iperf test to saturate your TR/RX streams. try use -P

    Sounds like you have a really busy network at home... I was curious how you made your ipad achieve the highest throughput (internet throughput), but now I would guess you achieved that when connected to ac5300 in the mesh... Ipad 11 has a two stream AC adapter, and I never manage to get higher...

    AC5300, AX88U or AX11000 which is best

    GT-AC5300 had its struggle but I think nowadays it is pretty solid. Are those complaints you saw were from few month back or even longer time ago? I would not hesitate to buy AC5300, that’s given I already have a future proof AX11000... so... I used the single AC5300 for a week, no complaints...

    On the contrary, I really like the router but don’t like its AC performance for now ;P I assume you are having gigabits internet service. In that case, AX would definitely work better since it has higher bandwidth channels + DFS channels and higher rate limit compare to AC5300. However, 700mbps...

    I forgot to mention that luckily, during my tests, the 5G-1 bands of AC5300 and AX11000 all landed on the same 80mhz channel. But still AC5300 performs much better than AX11000. So I would rule out channel differences being the problem. BTW, seeing media bridge worked great for wireless...

    I know it feels bad to buy in new gadget when it is reaching the end of lifecycle, but who knows when AX would become mainstream... I personally am going to keep the AX11000 for future proof and meanwhile to buy a AC5300 to have wifi speed that pleases me. (I need two routers at home anyway)

    I don't have the AC5300 around anymore, I just returned it before my RMA expires... sucks that I let go the one performs better, I would probably buy it again if I really can't stand up with the poor performing AX11000 now. BUT.... I do have two AX11000 now!! And I just set one up as router...

    I bought an AX11000, which is a different model but I believe the wireless chipset is the same Broadcom BCM43684. And here are some of my test results using speedtest. TBH, the performance is disappointing...
