    Merlin Firmware Port Forward

It looks like you have the rule, but the destination appears to be in the incorrect format. (this is the line that has "Jaf" in it).

    Merlin Firmware Port Forward

Instructions depend on operating system you are using. For Windows, download putty. Launch it, then connect to admin@[your router IP] using port 22. When prompted, enter admin password. Then go ahead and type the iptables command I gave you earlier.

    Merlin Firmware Port Forward

Ok, that looks about right. Please SSH into the router as an admin, and run the following command: iptables -L Post the results.

Looking for a new router....and an observation

That is not a question for me. I'm happily using AC88U as a main router, and 2 x AC66U in AP mode to provide additional coverage across 3 floors, back and front yards.

Merlin's rendition allows me to run custom scripts and has a lot more options to tweak settings than stock version.

Looking for a new router....and an observation

I recently upgraded from AC66U to AC88U, and find it to be marvelous! Flashed Merlin firmware day one, and never regretted the choice! As for various reviews - you are absolutely correct. For every good one, there is always one bad. I found that most bad reviews come from people that don't...

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

It looks to me like your firewall_start is called twice, but the script seems to be running both times. I may be completely wrong, but I would try adding the call with run parameter at the end of firewall-start script.

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

This looks correct. However, is it possible that firewall-start is called before sda1 is actually mounted?

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

Take a look at what you have in chron. I would suspect that after all of the moving around you've done, you didn't change that path used there. Try running: cru l Then look at /jffs/scripts/firewall-start. And post the result (or just make sure path used there is correct!

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

In your case: ./ipBLOCKer uninstall all Once that is done, follow the installation procedure - you should be fine.

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

You actually need to provide an action command after the name of the script! Valid commands in the output you posted.

:: ipBLOCKer :: Category blocking using iptables and ipsets

I think you should use ./ipBLOCKer.sh
