    2.4 and 5 ghz same SSID or different

    Sorry to reopen old post, but can you clarify. I've read that if you keep 1 SSID, You'll end up with everything crowded on 2.4GHz like retards if you keep them the same. A stronger 300Mb signal is not better than a less strong 866Mb signal. Any truth to this or is it bs?

    Is SMB2 stable now to enable on this FW? Also, is SMB2 recommended if we have a NAS hooked up to our ASUS router, and it also uses SMB1/SMB2 protocols?

    When I run this program on my mac, it always recommends channel 52 for my 5ghz. That channel is not available on my RT3100 Asus router. Would it be advised to go to 149, or 48? I am not sure why it recommends 52, I think that is only a european channel.

    Roaming assistant is the wrong thing to change. You should see two Beamforming settings under 5.0ghz for sure, and possibly under 2.4ghz also.

    Does this happen with the latest ASUS FW, 380.2345? I see that Merlin 380.58 is based off a slightly older code than the 2345 released by ASUS. Maybe they fixed this issue?

    Optimum Settings?

    That link basically says NOT to use beam forming if you use any Apple/IOS device. Yet Ive read on here that you can/should use beam forming. Besides that, guide is pretty legit. Just confusion on the beam forming
