    Wifi Calling - Asus router

    Should anything be configured differently from default to optimize wifi calling? I have T Mobile, and wondering if I should be enabling QOS, or opening a port, to optimize the quality and connection for wifi calling on my iPhone. Or will default settings be good enough?

    Manually Assigned IP around the DHCP list?

    I have 8 devices at home that have a static IP. What is the pro's/cons' for putting these devices in the manually assigned IP around the DHCP list? Whether I have them in there or not, they are still static ips, so not really seeing the reason to add anything to this list.

    ASUS RT-AC87U Firmware 3.0.0.4.380.3459

    I have the same issue on my RT3100. The internet works fine, but it says it's disconnected like your picture above. I tried calling ASUS tech support to report this, but they gave me the run around, and to renew my mac address with my ISP. So it was a waste of 60 minutes on the phone with them...

    Only getting 217 Mbps link rate on 2.4Ghz

    I've always read, and been told never, to use 40, or 20/40 for 2.4ghz, as it hogs bandwidth especially with a lot of neighbors, and could actually decrease throughput. I always leave 2.4ghz at 20.

    3479 was never released for the 3100. But if you are merging it into your FW, for this router, thats great news.

    I am experiencing same issue now. Purple light, router GUI says disconnected from internet, however I am still on it. Not sure what's up...

    RT-AC3100

    Been running the latest ASUS firmware now for about a week, and happy to report, STABLE and no issues with 5ghz or 2.4ghz. EDIT: Router page will constantly show Disconnected from internet, even though i am not. Only fix is to reboot the router

    Lets look at the logic here...... I am not sure if you fully understand what the setting does. There would be ZERO reason to even enable this setting on 2.4ghz. On 5.0ghz, you are saying, if my signal on 5ghz goes above 70, then Lets look at the logic here...... I am not sure if you fully...

    RT-AC3100

    I have version 1 and do not see any lock ups or freezing. If there was, it would probably be FW related. BTW the latest fw has been running stable for 12 hours now

    RT-AC88U

    All this hype with MU-MIMO and yet to see any device that really uses it. I have Apple products, and an Amazon FireTV. I know none of those even support it.
