[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Where are the beta firmware for the 5300 hardware? Seems once the software went live for the other routers... the beta for remaining hardware stopped. Is testing no longer required? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I’m using a 68U as primary router. 5300 as node. It works for 60secs... I see connections on the 5300 and then the node router reboots. Starts up works for 60sec and then reboots. The config seems correct.. because it does work as expected. The reboots are the issue. Sent from my iPad...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Yes the physically connected devices seem to work... but i can't tell if the node itself is ALSO sharing its wifi. The biggest issue i have thats been overlooked is that the router keeps rebooting. I'll have to reflash the aimesh firmware i guess. Also no one has answered how (or if) you can...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

I setup AiMesh with 2 routers :- 68U is the primary as its already setup with all my reserved ip's etc. The new 5300 is the node. It was a brand new router that i upgraded to firmware :- RT-AC5300_9.0.0.4_382_19612-g01e94f5.trx Before i upgraded to aimesh firmware (which is 382), i noted...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Yes i know i can manually setup a common SSID.... but i thought the magic of mesh is that it takes care of that stuff. At the moment, i need to manually connect to the closest SSID in my network. I was hoping in this setup, i could tell it i want roaming wifi... then it suggests a single SSID...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

This all seems very promising. I just went and bought a 5300 so i can setup aimesh. (Arrives next week). In anticipation, i already upgraded my 68U with aimesh firmware. Thankfully, operating on its own.. it seems to be running fine (no worse than the standard firmware)... actually it seems a...

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

Is there any plan to support RT-AC3200? I have one sitting here doing nothing. Would love to install aimesh on it and test/play. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

[Official Beta] AiMesh beta firmware for RT-AC68U/RT-AC86U/RT-AC5300/RT-AC88U

If I install the AiMesh firmware on my 68U.... can I still run it as a regular router? By this I mean don’t use it in mesh mode... only in standalone mode and add Asus routers when I get some. I do have an ac3200 which I use in bridge mode. There is no AiMesh firmware for that router. Can I...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

I just successfully restored my Asus rt-ac3200 from the official 382 codebase firmware released by Asus. Is there a Merlin version planned on new 382 code? Does Merlin allow media bridge to share wifi also? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    AC3200 3.0.0.4.382.18338 - 382 and KRACK fix!

The latest Merlin is based on 380. I’m guessing it won’t work until it’s released on 382 code. Don’t understand what changes the official 382 release did to now make the router unable to use any other release except for this ddwrt.

    AC3200 3.0.0.4.382.18338 - 382 and KRACK fix!

I’ve yet to delve in deep. My preference is to run Tomato, so this was just proof my router is not faulty at hardware level. I’m going to await a new Merlin or tomatoe release and retry.

    AC3200 3.0.0.4.382.18338 - 382 and KRACK fix!

Hey Rev, Thanks for your update. Using the steps as per the link you provided i was able to bring my router back to life, albeit on the ddwrt code. That gives me hope that the router is not bad.... just that the Asus images aren't great. I guess i'll have to wait until ASUS re-release their...

    AC3200 3.0.0.4.382.18338 - 382 and KRACK fix!

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve borked the rt-ac3200 by trying to install 380 after having previously updated to 382. I’m using recovery tool to upload 382 firmware but even that doesn’t work. After it uploads the firmware successfully... the router keeps rebooting into the recovery UI.... I did...
