if you content is all on the qnap why not enable NFS then on WD enable linux file sharing NFS on these devices has proven to be much better for streaming smb just has a ton of protocol overhead here's a little read on it http://wiki.wdlxtv.com/Wifi_Performance based on the prior...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

multiple bonds should be possible but LinkAgg script support for multiple bonds does not exist currently I also have no plans to add that support but I do think it's entirely possible through jffs scripts of which all the required info should be in this thread as for synology, I...

RT-N66U, Dual WAN? Link Agg? 2 ISPs...

ok, I guess I mis-understood sounds to me like LinkAgg is not part of the equation to sum it up you have dual WAN set up and want to filter all WAN activity to 1 port my guess is IP tables, but I'm not sure

RT-N66U, Dual WAN? Link Agg? 2 ISPs...

well, I'm not sure that what you want is practical or for that mater I doubt it's even possible the only LinkAgg mode I've ever tested or used is 802.3ad this will not work if your connecting the 2 ethernet cables to different devices kernel doc's are here...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

@dragnet some other items that I notice in your output LACP rate : slow your link is working because both sides match this but the LinkAgg script only sets echo fast > /sys/class/net/${1}/bonding/lacp_rate fast so that's another mystery

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

I don't think that's hi-jacking at all aggregator id is device specific so your output, shows it working correctly on both ends ac66u and thecus

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

yep that's exactly what I mean synology is using a much newer version of the bonding driver besides that the error I see is aggregator ID, it should match on both slaves but it doesn't this is the same problem the guy trying to do this with DD-WRT was having but really doesn't tell us...

modprobe -v bonding.ko or if modinfo exist, you could use that to obtain version info also a couple of pages back, somebody already posted some source code synology is using for bonding, including their LAG set up script what I haven't seen anybody do yet is set up LAG with synology (even if...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

I still don't know what's wrong according to the output of LinkAgg -s the router is set up and functioning correctly if there was something else to check, I would add that to status checker function of that script RMerlin mentioned all the support request for LinkAgg I'd estimate that...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

well, if you read through this threads history you'll find that most synology user's are stuck there's some unknown incompatibility between these routers and synology nas when using LinkAgg there was one case, where somebody claimed they got it working with synology, but then several...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

first I recommend you post what you want to bond the router to what switch model or nas model etc then you should post the output of LinkAgg -s

    Asuswrt-Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.38 is out

thread is here http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/showthread.php?t=12735&highlight=LinkAgg regardless of if RMerlin includes that script in firmware, I'd still recommend LinkAgg questions to go in that thread and yes, my initial understanding was that the script would eventually be...

ok, very surprised, documentation says it does in fact support LACP

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

the airport I don't know about, but the unmanaged netgear GS108 definetely would not work correctly with 802.3ad, so if the macpro says linkagg works with it, something is not right for linkagg to work, all ports need to be configured correctly to match and added to a bonding interface like...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

So what does the macPro say about the link does it give you any info on how/if it's running and what settings are used
  17. K

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

how's the switch set up what does the switch show for status active/passive link speed, etc ... does switch show LACP running just currious, what the other side of this link shows

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

it's good to know there's alternate methods and it certainly can't hurt to try but from his post above root@Gateway:~# cat /sys/class/net/bond0/bonding/slaves vlan3 vlan4 so both vlan's are already slaves to bond0 but still show different aggregator ID regardless of this
  19. K

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

well all the most recent output looks good except of corse Speed: 10 Mbps Aggregator ID: 1 vs Aggregator ID: 2 I'm still not home yet, but some googling I found a few things 1. Aggregator ID can for forced to different ID numbers if the switch on the other end is not configured...

    Working Link Aggregation Config RT-AC66U

nothing unusual in that you shouldn't need to bring up vlans because when you bring up bond0 the bonding driver will bring up all slaves as well you can confirm with ifconfig or ip link show edit: looks like you did an edit above I'll have to check, I think I remember there being a...
