Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I switched the APs with firmware 3.0.0.6.102_36789 installed back to nodes yesterday to test if IOS/MacOS devices would randomly disconnect. I had 1 disconnection yesterday and 2 today. So firmware 3.0.0.6.102_36789 does not fix the issue.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I had random disconnects with IOS/iPadOS devices with all firmware versions prior to 3.0.0.6.102_36789. It would initially disconnect 1-4 days after connecting, so I would wait about 2 weeks to be sure it's fixed.

Still struggling with Asus ZenWifi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro Bundle

The process is the same as setting up the main router. Before you start please be aware APs can only be used in a wired configuration. 1. Turn off and disconnect the main router. Also turn off all other ASUS nodes. 2. Connect the node to the wan and lan and turn it on. After boot up press...

Still struggling with Asus ZenWifi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro Bundle

Have you tried setting up the nodes as access points? I was experiencing random WiFi disconnections when connected to the nodes, after the switch WiFi is 100% stable.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I'm experiencing the exact same issue with IOS and MacOS devices. The issue is the same no matter how the DNS server is configured (ISP, Cloudflare, Google). The only fix I could find was to setup the nodes as access points.

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I was very shortsighted when I did my initial tests. We were traveling at the time and only the main router was connected and not the nodes. So after settling into our new home, I signed up for the fastest internet available and setup the BQ16 Pro (all 3 devices this time). The initial setup...

BQ16 and GT-BE98, Wired AI Mesh port speed goes to 10/100 :(

No problem. It may be an issue with the router not being the same as the node, but I don’t know. All I have is the BQ16 Pro.

BQ16 and GT-BE98, Wired AI Mesh port speed goes to 10/100 :(

Yep, that’s weird. The only other thing I can recommend is resetting the GT-BE98 and then set it up as a node. Hopefully that will fix the issue. Do you know how to reset it?

BQ16 and GT-BE98, Wired AI Mesh port speed goes to 10/100 :(

Ok. Unplug all the ethernet cables from the GT-BE98. Get the newest cat 6 ethernet cable you have and ensure to plug it into the WAN 10G port on the GT-BE98, do not plug in any other ethernet for now. After you're finished with that post 2 pics GT-BE98, one with the management tab and the other...

Do you have ethernet backhaul mode enabled on the router?

BQ16 and GT-BE98, Wired AI Mesh port speed goes to 10/100 :(

It looks like it’s using the lan 5 port as the uplink. Did you verify what port its using for the uplink?

In regard to the GT-BE98, is it connected via the wan 10G port?

Not sure if this will work, but did you enable jumbo frames on the node, switch and PC?

Struggling with Asus ZenWiFi BE30000 aka 3 node BQ16 Pro bundle

I have been using the BE30000 for a few weeks and it has been 100% stable. I left MLO disabled and turned off WiFi 7 since we only have iPhones. The only issue I’ve encountered is the led on the router turning red indicating no internet but the internet was working fine. After a reboot it was...

Seeking Wired Router with multiple 2.5Gb Ethernet Ports

I agree 100%. It’s missing a lot of features compared to Asus AX routers. I’m not a fan of QNAP after using their NAS for years and having to deal with crap firmware updates. However, the 301w is perfect for my use case since I needed a 10G connection to a 10G switch. Plus the icing on the cake...
