    Asus aimesh, handoff and backhaul using ethernet. Questions.

    Try setup the AiMesh node to prefer ethernet as backhaul, then the traffic will goes through ethernet instead.

    There is a bug that makes MAC address filtering not working in the RT-AC68U node. ASUS team is able to reproduce the problem and will fix it soon.

    It depends on the materials used to construct the house or apartment. Wifi signal can be block by glass and concrete, but pass through wood pretty well. I bet your house is mainly build with wood or plaster.

    Yes, the current firmware still have a glitch in stability. However, the ASUS engineers are really good in helping to fix the problem. I am not sure if the problem that I encountered is related to yours, so if you can provide more details on your problem, they can track down the problem...

    I just play around some settings and see if the settings will propagate to the nodes.... I change the Air Time Fairness and Muti-user MIMO settings in the UI and the nvram values changed in the AP, however when I checked the NVRAM settings in the nodes, no matter how I change these 2 settings...

    Just do the nvram show and you can figure out where are the settings that you know and want to keep in the output. e.g. Device names are in the "custom_clientlist" settings.

    This is the problem of the client device or app that do not support roaming. Only router can never provides seamless roaming without the help from client device or app.

I have RT-AC88U as AP/router and it seems the AiMesh firmware supports SmartConnect, and I have a RT-AC68U as node and it seems the AiMesh firmware do not supports SmartConnect in this device. So If I enable SmartConnect in RT-AC88U as AP, will it works...
