    I do not think AiMesh will support "selective AP Node blacklisting/whitelisting" in the future anyway. AiMesh is aimed at centralized management with auto node selection. This feature just defeat the purpose. I think you can stay with the manual AP mode to have full control.

    A question, can I switch off WPS after binding the AiMesh nodes? I know that WPS is required to switch on when adding a new node, but can I switch off WPS after finished adding?

    I think the key of AiMesh is central management, Wifi roaming are implemented by existing features including SmartConnect, roaming assistant, etc.

    Finally, I got my AiMesh works as my wish: RT-AC88U AP + RT-AC88U node + RT-AC68U node I am not sure why I cannot find the RT-AC68U before, but this time I tried to work out the search with the RT-68U placing near the RT-AC88U node instead. And finally done.

    The AiMesh node screen shows Wired but the client list shows 5G, didn't this wield?

    Just found another strange issue. I have setup the communication to the node via ethernet, however, I discovered that the router have a connection to the node using 5G channel wireless, just feeling strange.

    So it seems roaming assistant is part of a must settings for AiMesh to work properly, right? How about SmartConnect? I observed when SmartConnect is enabled it is a bit wield that the best channel will never be chosen.

    I know this option. Not quite sure if roaming assistant still required with AiMesh on? I saw somebody reported roaming assistant will make the connection drops, and AiMesh can steer a STA to choose a strong alternative even without Roaming assistant, is this true?

    I have tried to setup the AiMesh system (2 x RT-AC88U) with Smart Connect disabled. It seems the roaming and steering works properly again, it seems the SmartConnect and AiMesh is not quite compatible to each other. Can anybody from ASUS comments on this?
