    Just saw the stock ax86s firmware contains a "Verizon FiOS fix". Any idea what this is and does it effect merlinwrt firmwares?

    Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

    Noticed AX86U got a new firmware https://www.asus.com/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-ax86u/helpdesk_bios/ that claims to have system stability and ram optimiztation and a fix for verizon fios. Was wondering if Beta 4 incorporated these changes?

    Running Beta 2. Was wondering if anyone noticed this odd behavior when setting 5ghz to Auto channel it only scans the lower channel numbers It never checks the higher numbered channels like 149.

    Update: Switching from AIMesh to just AP mode stabilized my network by a ton. Realized I was having issues were my upstairs channel saturation was different than my downstairs.     Any way to do Mesh with 160 mhz DFS on primary but 80 on node?

    Can I set the SSID on both to the same thing and would they roam between them? If the client doesnt support DFS channels would it still connect to the AC86 on the same SSID at the primary that would be on DFS?

    I have an ax86s is my primary and an AC68U as my aimesh node. Is there anyway to make it where the Primary router is 160 Mhz with DFS enabled but the Node is only 80 Mhz without DFS enabled? Not all of my 5ghz devices support DFS. Having issues with neighbor interference tho on non DFS frequencies.

    I tried using Guest 1 but I keep getting issues where devices disconnect or cant connect to the internet. I remember having an issue with Guest 1 in the past which is why I use Guest 2 for my 5ghz guest network.

    The main issue I am having is where some of the devices don't seem to be randomly connecting (1 out of 3 lightbulbs in a fixture or a random google home). I have tried establishing static IPs thinking that is the issue but it keeps happening.

    How does the HW Acceleration and Wireguard work? Does using Wireguard disable HW Acceleration for all devices on the LAN or only clients that are connected through the VPN?

    I just noticed on my AX86S that I got a notification RT Throttle Activated when I rebooted the router. I have never seen this before. Was wondering what it was and cant find anything online about what this feature does.

    Why no word on any new Merlin builds ?

    Was running the AX86U beta firmware from Asus, had some issues so went back to merlin 7_2. I did like the native wireguard support tho.

    Duplicate Blog?

    So i powered off my ONT and unplugged and replugged the fiber into it and then secured the fiber down with the retention bracket (that wasn't used by the installer for some reason) and I havent seen this error for a bit. Wondering if it has something to do with the WAN connection.
