    Wow the official AiMesh website has the older version on it. Guess they never updated it. I downloaded it from there and got version 18489... Just downloaded the newer one from the first post.

    Whatever you do, do not use auto firmware check and update. It updated all of my routers to the 382 non AiMESH firmware. Had to reflash each one individually again. Also it would be nice if we could see which client was connected to which node. I can see that one of my nodes has 3 clients...

    Is there AI Mesh in these prereleases? I installed it on one of my AC68 but couldnt find it so figuring it isn't included.

    Thanks for the info. You are right, I didn't install the correct firmware. I am waiting for merlin to update his to the AC68U since I use OpenVPN and the stock asus doesn't support apparently. Got my TM-1900 today and was able to flash it to an ac68 in about 10 minutes!

    Well that makes a lot more sense now... I just flashed a TM-1900 to AC68 and installed 382 but not hte special one i guess. I cant flash the beta aimesh on my primary router because I need OpenVPN and Merlin hasn't released a AC68 version yet.

    Openvpn bridge from 2 locations?

    Anyone know if it is possible to connect say a ac66 to an ac68 via a tap tuner in openvpn? Want to setup a remote router when I travel that gives all connected clients access to my local lan and redirects all traffic thru my home server for security reasons.

    Don't think that works... The server has to be setup to handle the redirect requests according to the openvpn documentation. If you try to get the client to push all requests thru the server and the server doesn't know it is suppose to handle them it can't do the redirects... RMerlin is this a...

    I am not sure that is a client side option... I have only seen references to it being an openvpn server setting. https://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/documentation/howto.html#redirect that states you have to configure the server for this option since the server has to handle all the dns...
