    ISP down, reconnection Polling/script?

There are several scripts you can find here on this forum that do what you ask. There is no built in feature to the firmware that does this. If you are going to look at the scripts here, the majority of them rely on pinging google servers / dns and such. A few ping constantly and others only...

    QoS Graph/Details like Tomato?

This has been absolutely helpful! Thank you for your response FreshJR. I think using the above mentioned information I should be able to at least get an idea of what is going on. This is pretty much what I was looking for although it's on a terminal basis. That's quite fine for me as I have...

    QoS Graph/Details like Tomato?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was looking for something more along the lines of monitoring. So that I could see what's going on via a visual GUI. The Adaptive QOS with the FreshJR script allows me flexibility in handling QoS, but it doesn't really show me what's going on behind the scenes...

    QoS Graph/Details like Tomato?

Thanks for responding RMerlin. So I'm assuming the Traditional method is being completely removed from AsusWRT and replaced with the Adaptive? I use both and figured there was a way to display more information on what's going on. Is there anyway via SSH that this can be called or displayed...

    QoS Graph/Details like Tomato?

I miss how Tomato displayed all it's QoS information. I know QoS is implemented in AsusWRT but there are some things that are lacking, that I wish were implemented. It's possible that I may have completely overlooked it and it's already implemented. Which is why I'm asking here if it's...

Connection Drops: Lease does not renew (Manual reset required)

Just an update to this. Its been sometime since this has happened. Ever since I did the reset and changed the renew to be "Aggressive" rather than normal. Supposedly, this has fixed the issue for now. I haven't had the issue come up since then. I'm going to assume it was a combination of...

Options to replace my Orbi system

I highly recommend an RT-AC86U. It's the upgraded version of the RT-AC68U and it's doing the majority of my house with no issues whats so ever. I have an older N66U acting as a AP much further down the house to catch the soft spot that the RT-AC86U signal is a little weaker. Not by a whole...

RT-N66U Time to update router? Advice/Feedback

I wanted something that gave me more flexibility. Since Netgear router firmware is mostly closed source and restrictive you have to use what they give you. Yes they push out updates but you have to wait on them to do so. With ASUS I can put ASUSWrt-Merlin and open up a lot more flexible...

    Router UI Emulators

Netgear link seems to be broken. However the closest thing I found was their new simulator links under tools.netgear.com. It's not exactly GENIE but it gives somewhat of an idea. These are for their business model systems. Example...

Connection Drops: Lease does not renew (Manual reset required)

I'll give that a try as well. Worth a shot :D Thanks for the response scjr. We will see how things go.

Connection Drops: Lease does not renew (Manual reset required)

I've tried that before but it didn't seem to work. I'll try it again. It takes some time for the lease. Usually the disconnect happens right at the expiration. Normally requires a hard reset of modem.

Connection Drops: Lease does not renew (Manual reset required)

Hi all! I've been having an issue and have exhausted several methods to try to fix it. I'm beginning to suspect it's the modem but I've really only had this issue since switching over to Asuswrt-merlin. This includes both my RT-N66U and RT-AC86U they both have the same issue. I never really...

Bypass Plex traffic on router running vpn client, Working good so far, Testing for few days

Wouldn't the IPTables list continue to grow and grow with each new addition to it? You would have lots of routing with old invalid IP's in addition to the new IP's that are being routed. So eventually the IPTables list will be enourmous? Not sure if there is a way to clean it out and then add...

RT-N66U Time to update router? Advice/Feedback

I got my RT-AC86U and it's been solid for days now. My internet performance has increased as well. WIFI signal is much better than my older model. Glad you are enjoying it!

End of year 2017 development update

Thank you so much for your hard work @RMerlin . Your builds have made our ASUS products top notch and rock solid. Asus has a lot to thank for the hard work you put in maintaining their firmwares, beyond the work they put in their releases.

    Reorder QOS user-defined rules?

Hmm I suppose I could do adaptive with that custom script available on the forum. Seems you can configure it to have more control. I'll have to watch it more closely to see what it's doing.

    Reorder QOS user-defined rules?

So the settings I apply to download are applied to uploads and vice versa? That seems very odd, couldn't that be fixed? I don't seem to be having that issue on my RT-N66U or my RT-AC86U. I suppose I can do adaptive. Just don't know how that works in the numbers. I like having more control.

[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

Thought it was only a few features and or third-party stuff that was closed source. Other then that I was under the assumption everything else is still pretty much open-source. I highly doubt Asus will convert everything to closed-source. They will lose a lot of fan followers for their...

    Reorder QOS user-defined rules?

Really? Seems to be working for me. At least according to the charts and traffic monitoring I'm doing. How is it broken? Curious... Still trying to find a way to reorder the QOS rules if anyone has any ideas.

    Reorder QOS user-defined rules?

Is there anyway to reorder the User-defined rules in the QOS traditional panel without deleting them and re-entering them all over again? Possibly using SSH/linux command or something? It would be cool if there was an option that let you move them up or down. That or at least rearrange them...
