[Beta-release] AiMesh Phase2 beta test for RT-AC68U and first beta for BlueCave

So when will this go to RC? Will it work with RT-AC3100 Router and RT-AC68U nodes if the router is on 20145 f/w as it doesn't seem this Phase 2 beta is for that model, only the 68U?

    RT-AC3100 Firmware 384.21045

So I power cycled the router and then manually installed the f/w to the main router and each of it's three RT-AC68U nodes and it took so hopefully this will fix my current issues with overall stability and slow connections for streaming video. We have no CableTV and WAF has dropped over the last...

    VPNFilter Malware

A lot of discussion here but is there a method to SSH into the router with PuTTy or WinScrp to find and nuke this rogue code?

    RT-AC3100 Firmware 384.21045

I'm on 3.0.0.4.384.20942 from last week and have no USB drives connected but do have a switch (between the Router and my PC) and actually a couple devices directly connected on the WAN. Your saying disconnect all but my PC and upgrade with the PC directly into a WAN port? What about WiFi? Turn...

    VPNFilter Malware

Any good guide to set this up on an RT-AC3100? I saw guides on here but they seemed to be for more dated f/w?

Any recommended VPN servers to use?

    VPNFilter Malware

Should I, for the time being, delete my forwarded ports? What a pain as I do a lot remotely..

    VPNFilter Malware

BTW, I use Port 80 for my Autelis Pool Control Device. I suppose I need to change the port on it post haste.

    VPNFilter Malware

Just wondering if this may be the reason why I am not able to update the f/w on my Asus RT-AC3100? I've tried both in the WebGUI via the "Upgrade" button and by doing a manual installation. It goes for 8 to 10 minutes but no LED's change status on the router itself. Upon refreshing the page it...

    RT-AC3100 Firmware 384.21045

So I tried to update using a downloaded f/w from Asus' website and still no love. I get the following screen for about 8 minutes, which seems like way too long and nothing happens with the lights on my router. I reload the router webGUI and it hasn't completed anything. What is going on here?

    VPNFilter Malware

No. That is the entirety of the email. Of course I responded that I wasn't going to be doing that. BTW Enterprise Technology Solutions is the internal division that handles all the computers and networks.

    VPNFilter Malware

I'm not thinking I need to do a factory reset because none of my routers or nodes are included in the sub set of Asus Routers. Can I go into a SSH session using PuTTy and look for this on my router and just delete it?

    RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_21045

It is a couple of things and maybe more. The AiMesh rollout is requiring new f/w's as bugs are discovered. They are updating for protection against vpnFilter, possibly.

    RT-AC3100 Firmware 384.21045

Just tried to upgrade mine from the webGUI and got this: I have internet access. I don't have time to upgrade the router and three nodes right now. This will have to wait..

    Asus RT-AC68U v3.0.0.4.384.20942 2018/05/21

Thus far I have seen no changes but from what you said, I need to reboot all routers to see if there's a change? Where in the logs does one look for current RSSI values? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

    Asus RT-AC68U v3.0.0.4.384.20942 2018/05/21

In my case, the bridges aren't getting dropped but their client's are. All routers on 942 f/w BTW. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

    Asus RT-AC68U v3.0.0.4.384.20942 2018/05/21

Just disabled it. I'll report back either way. So with this disabled will mobile devices no longer be steered to the best router but devices connected in Bridge mode style not get dropped? If this is the case, what's the point of AiMesh? I may as well just set the modes up as bridges.. Sent...
