CakeQOS cake not working with AX58U on 386.1

All I did was replacing the binaries with the newer ones from Odkrys' repo, updating versions.txt with the new file versions and I believe that was it.

CakeQOS cake not working with AX58U on 386.1

You don't need to compile anything, here's a working fork of cake-qos for AX58U: https://github.com/underd0se/cakeqos-merlin

FlexQoS FlexQoS - Asus RTAC86U - Huge UPLOAD BufferBloat

For the consistence of your DSLReports results, you might want to adjust your test settings as follows: Also, with those relatively low speeds try switching to CakeQoS. It works far better than AdvancedQoS/FlexQoS on my RT-AX58U with 100DL/5UL connection and it is available for your router...

Entware Entware on USB NTFS drive on Asus RT-AX58U ?

You can format any USB drive and have up to 3 partitions on it with different formats (EXT2/3/4, FAT32, EXFAT, NTFS, etc) with amtm, a helper script that's already embedded into Asuswrt-Merlin. This way, you can have a USB drive with 1 EXT4 partition for Entware and 1 or 2 partitions in any...

    CakeQOS CakeQoS Help

When you're connected to the router with putty, go to cake-qos > (4) change cake settings and under (4) Extra download options and (5) extra upload options, enter these keywords: ethernet lan And that should do it, I guess.

    CakeQoS Questions

In the first post, there's a link to cake's man page: https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man8/tc-cake.8.html#OVERHEAD_COMPENSATION_PARAMETERS What you would like to do is find your connection type on that page and enter the exact keyword(s) in cake-qos extra download and/or upload options...

    [RT-AX58U] - Merlin 386.1 - kernel: CFG80211-ERROR

I have the same errors in my log, and my network runs pretty well without errors. You can ignore those messages, no need to nuke your router because of those.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

I don't know if that's a bug or not but RAM usage in the dashboard an in htop are pretty different. Dashboard always shows around ~480MB even when there are no scripts installed. I'm not obsessed with RAM, especially under Linux since I know that unused RAM is wasted RAM, but the difference...

CakeQOS cake not working with AX58U on 386.1

wan0_ifname is eth4, tc qdisc ls is below but before you dive in I have to warn you I don't have CakeQoS installed for the obvious reasons (no WAN), instead I have FlexQoS so I'm not sure if the output below is helpful or not. qdisc pfifo_fast 0: dev eth0 root refcnt 2 bands 3 priomap 1 2 2 2...

I don't want to change the course of the discussion from "the beast" to an apples to intels comparison, but this quote from the article you've linked speaks for itself

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta (stage 2) is now available

I see. I live in a under developed country in terms of internet infrastructure so the most affordable I can get is 100 Mbps DL / 5 Mbps UL (yes, 5) and SpeedTest results are around 97/5.

uiDivStats uiDivStats - WebUI for Diversion statistics

I had a similar issue on my N66U, and solved it by removing user files belonging to that already uninstalled script manually by rm -rf /tmp/var/wwwext/user4* where 4 at the end of user4 comes from the uninstalled script.

Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

@thelonelycoder You don't need to use breadcrumb like page title (Addons - Diversion Ad-Blocking - Home) together with tabs, which also highlight/notify which page the user is on. That is called a duplicate and is a waste of space in terms of user experience/design. I'd advice to remove that if...
