    [MIPS] Entware-backports Repo (entware-ng reloaded)

Bit the bullet, updated all packages and everything seems fine. Thanks again!

    [MIPS] Entware-backports Repo (entware-ng reloaded)

I'm using your repo side by side with the original, outdated one. Updated a few packages like htop and nano and they're working quite well. What I want to ask is, is it safe to update all packages and libraries shown in opkg list-upgaradable since some core/critical packages are listed there (or...

    [MIPS] Entware-backports Repo (entware-ng reloaded)

A few months before I've been trying to backport packages for myself but I realised that I'm a total noob when it comes to compiling stuff. Will take a loot at when I'm back home but thanks for the effort already!

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I didn't answered my own question, I simply said that resetting and reflashing should be the last options, not the first. Thanks for offering help anyways, though. Back to the situation, I removed Diversion (removed pixelserv-tls, kept Entware) and amtm, reinstalled Diversion, amtm and...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

No, since nothing has changed before and after the power outage and I think resetting settings, reflashing etc. are the last resort for fixing this kind of problems, except rebooting. Disabling Diversion solved the problem and re-enabling it haven't caused any problems though. Edit: After...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Solved by disabling Diversion (rebooting after enabling Diversion breaks again) Having a problem with dnsmasq not starting and NTP failing to update and I don't know how it all started. All I can say is there was a power outage yesterday and when the power came back all of this mess happened...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Just download the Asus Restoration Tool from ASUS website (for macOS ofc) and follow the instructions in the tool and the first post of this thread. I'd advice you to be very very patient since it took me more than 10 tries to successfully switch to John's Fork from Merlin 380.70.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

They already did that! I'm using both DoT (on my router) & DoH (with Firefox on my Mac). See the result here :)

[Test] Asuswrt-Merlin LTS fork - Multiple items

Running for 2 days with strict mode enabled both in UI and NVRAM, no problems so far and smoother than before. If you need a log or something, just tell me what and where to find and I'll provide. Thanks for the changes btw.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS - DNS over TLS Beta - CLOSED

I think the info I gave previously is not 100% accurate, at least after a reboot. Enabling DNS Rebind protection and hitting Apply causes a "Disconnected" status, but a reboot fixes it. I enabled Strict mode after enabling rebind protection, hit Apply one more time, rebooted and everything...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS - DNS over TLS Beta - CLOSED

The cause seems like the DNS Rebind Protection. When it's set to YES, Web UI can't fetch connection status.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS - DNS over TLS Beta - CLOSED

I had it too for 2 days but today it fixed itself after 2 reboots, and some changes to the WAN DNS Setting section which I don't remember. Current state of the settings is below:

I know your fork doesn't support DoH (yet) :) I've set Firefox to use DoH for extra privacy/security.

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS - DNS over TLS Beta - CLOSED

I've just switched over from Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70 to TLS-B6 fork of yours and this is the result: Thanks a lot!

    MerlinWRT - compile instructions?

I see your script removes ng, is it possible to edit the script for legacy devices like N66?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS - DNS over TLS Beta - CLOSED

I've installed stubby on my MacBook Air for DoT and also set Firefox for DoH, both were working fine for a day or so but somehow DoT stopped working. I assume the problem is on Cloudflare's or Stubby's end.

    MerlinWRT - compile instructions?

I'm interested in Legacy for my good old N66U :)

    Replacing DNSMasq DNS with Unbound

The reason for the lower version number is: Entware-ng repo (for MIPS based routers) is not maintained anymore, the last update of the packages on the repo is dated back to March IIRC. But I'd like to give 1.7.3 a go as you did by compiling yourself and it doesn't matter if it breaks/doesn't...

    Replacing DNSMasq DNS with Unbound

I've managed to get Unbound up and running as forwarder thanks to you. My problem is, Unbound version on Entware-ng repo is 1.6.7 and has too many critical bugs. Can you compile 1.7.3 for RT-N66U and share the package with me if that's ok for you?
