I thought the axe weren't replaceable? Well without taking unit apart and I think soldering?

Asus ZenWiFi Pro (ET12, XT12) sneak peek

Thanks for that. Was annoyed that they didn't show it on the stream. Looks like only USA is getting 6ghz again despite 5ghz 160mhz being useless in many regions... Very annoying.

The Asus ZenWiFi AX XT8 is a POS, right?

Have a look at the specs of the devices. I can't remember the exact channels but my amazon firesticks could only work on certain bands (lower channels only of lower bands IIRC). Should be in the link in my sig. I couldn't get them to be stable until I locked the bands on my XT8s.

Asus ZenWiFi Pro (ET12, XT12) sneak peek

Indeed. But one can hope. Only reason why I'd want one is because I um and ah between investing in ubiquiti and asus for me kit. If asus had a cheaper solution by going the ubiquiti route with zenwifi Pro, I'd 100% go in that direction. To me ubiquiti is neither cutting edge nor cheap.

The Asus ZenWiFi AX XT8 is a POS, right?

Glad you had better luck. I had to return mine because of the 160mhz issues.

Asus ZenWiFi Pro (ET12, XT12) sneak peek

I had read an ofcom document that it was approved last year (Q4 2020). But given the UK market is closely tied to the EU market it might not have been worth their while to release. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0036/198927/6ghz-statement.pdf I hope asus will release some kind...

Asus ZenWiFi Pro (ET12, XT12) sneak peek

I heard the ET8 isn't getting a UK/EU release anymore, so looking forward to whatever this is. Even the AXE11000 isn't here yet.

Review ASUS Mesh Roundup: Two Zens and a TriBand

Indeed. Really need 100-144 in UK 36-64 is overcrowded And is it limited to 36-48? Really need full range available on 5ghz given it only has 1 on the ET8. Very frustrating the limitations of these devices considering their benefits.

Review ASUS Mesh Roundup: Two Zens and a TriBand

Such a shame 5ghz DFS 80mhz not supported on ET8. I've been waiting a year for it. Most of my devices are 2.4 or 5ghz and restricting 5ghz to lower/higher bands will be a problem. My kit doesn't have access to higher band and lower band too crowded. Wanted the 6ghz for 160mhz backhaul as...

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

I don't suppose you moved the modem or added an extension to the modem when installing your new kit? I've done that before not thinking about it and cut my performance on ADSL in half. Always put extensions in on lan side of modem

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

Date on reboot always goes back to a predefined date then updates while booting.

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

I just don't understand the limitation. As you said. N66U only has one 5ghz radio yet supports high and low bands. I understand they wouldn't want 5ghz 1 & 2 conflicting by being on same band, but swapping bands shouldn't have been an issue.

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

I hope that is a bug. 100-140 is standard in UK for 5ghz. One of the things that bugged me about the XT8 was that I couldn't put 5ghz2 on lower band and 5ghz1 on higher band. Yet on my RT-N66U I could put 5ghz on either lower or higher.

International support for Wifi 6e is only starting

    UK has 6ghz too 5,925-6,425. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/consultations-and-statements/category-2/improving-spectrum-access-for-wi-fi

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

If it is like the XT8 then you can use the backhaul for front haul. The issue with the XT8 was you couldn't use 160mhz in the lower 5ghz channels so it was useless to me. Hope this gets released in UK soon.

New ASUS ZenWiFi ET8 with Wifi 6E

Finally! (Now just release in UK asus!) Been missing these since I had to send my XT8's back. I wonder if they are giving link aggregation on LAN. It says it does on WAN but I'm sure that's a misprint. Still no mention of 2.5GB wired backhaul.

ZenWifi AX No 160mhz for backhaul

Tbf the box does have an asterisk about regional issues. But you'd think if all of Canada was blacklisted they would change the packaging. The NVRAM mod is not legal. With any luck the rules may change soon in the UK at least for DFS to be less aggressive. If that can be fixed in firmware is...

ZenWifi AX No 160mhz for backhaul

Doing this is not legal. Which is why I returned mine. Would be much easier if they allowed the backhaul antennas to use the lower range and the fronthaul antennas to use the higher range. I don't think there would be a hardware reason why they couldn't. Even my RT-N66U can access both ranges.

Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Issue - NAT Issue With Two Xbox One Consoles

Did you still need an answer to your original question? I setup my RT-N66U with two xboxes to allow open NAT on both.
