    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Yes. Will need to perform factory reset...went from 382 to 384 firmware. Just got 650 down and 500 up on my laptop over wifi, so seems good for the first few minutes I've had installed anyways.

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

Thanks! Yeah, need to see if I can swap mine out so I can actually put these to work and use all their features and hardware.

    ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 (Owners)

You have AT&T fiber (FTTH)? If so, were you able to do a true passthrough with their modem? Don't recall which one I have off the top of my head (just know it's a PACE model), but seems I can't do that, so have to use the GT-AC5300's in AP mode. Believe their newer ones you can simply enable it...

It is official...up on US site as of this morning. AiMesh splash page still says coming soon, but official firmware was uploaded sometime this morning.

OK, it's on US site. Link is below, but imagine it will be on ASUS FTP servers soon. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zg81hnfw3qwqbr1/GT-AC5300_3.0.0.4_384_20287-g51c2770_cferom_ubi.w?dl=0

Go to support page for GT-AC5300. Click on Bios/ Firmware and it is there. AiMesh page hasn't been updated...still says coming soon.

Just go to the support page for your router. GT5300 is here: https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/ROG-Rapture-GT-AC5300/HelpDesk_BIOS/

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

-65dBm in my world (telecom) would be considered "hot", but not so much for wifi. Would think that RSSI would provide a good link for backhaul. Can always test and see, but think any closer than -55dBm would cause too much noise with the overlap personally. Below are some useful links...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Lumpy Admin Module

Should do a factory reset (push and hold the reset button for 5+ secs) and then re-configure your router (don't load backup file) manually. I use Chrome and generally don't have lag between screens in the GUI unless settings are changed and saved.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Yeah, using U-NII-1 here for 5G-1 (and backhaul for AiMesh) and U-NII-3 for 5G-2. So initially just set clients up to use 5G-2 until the firmware turns backhaul off once ethernet is manually selected. Big difference in power...50mW vs 250mW, so would seem node spacing based off lower power when...

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Will likely only use 5G-1 since that is the same channel set that dual-band routers would use, so would need the wireless backhaul to stay there for use with AiMesh. Assume that holds true for those sold abroad (located in US) as well.

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Yes, what I’m using. Seemed to work fine with my 2 GT-AC5300’s prior to “upgrading” to what appeared to be an official beta (but was not). Have been unable to get it working since then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

Quite aware of what month and year we're in. Just know official firmware is "coming soon" and this being the ASUS flagship, would expect sooner rather than later. Having worked with and for many OEMs in telecom and the Wireless Carriers, had just expected more I guess. Def wouldn't have...

    AiMesh for Tri-band routers: RT-AC5300, GT-AC5300

OK, so my frustration lies in the fact that I've spent ~$800 USD for 2 of these in good faith that this AiMesh would work. It was working fairly good, but after mistakenly loading a firmware posted here that had same ASUS naming convention, I haven't been able to get it working again. The router...

@arthurlien have an idea of how much longer the firmware will be baked/ validated internally before releasing?
