386.9 caused the game to occasionally drop connection

It's not 100% certain, but I will post this information for the record - if anyone else is experiencing similar problem. After I updated the firmware of AC-68P from 386.7.2 to 386.9, I began to experience sporadic disconnects in the game "World of Tanks". The game would disconnect in the middle...

I/O activity on USB drive - what is?

For the record, if anybody is experiencing this... After I downgraded the router, I no longer saw previously-connected AIMesh node (AC68r), which now had higher version of the firmware. I connected to the node by ethernet cable, and remarkably, it was in fact working, i.e. I was able to reach...

I/O activity on USB drive - what is?

Yes, that was it, thanks! I downgraded to 386.7.2 and the drive is quiet again. ...that said... I'm curious - if the issue was in constantly reading the same directory - doesn't Linux have i/o cache?

I/O activity on USB drive - what is?

I have AC68P with USB3-connected external drive, used as network storage for the LAN, plus media server. I had it for years, and the drive was mostly idle, unless I actually was working with the files on it. But since a week or so, I hear it constantly doing something. Is there a way to find out...

Failure in UIO create address from ip address

If anybody is experiencing a problem while printing from Windows 10 to the network printer connected to the router, with the error message "Failure in UIO CreateAddressFromIPAddress" - this is caused by recent Windows Update, which for security reasons started preventing printing to Linux...

Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly

Which means that for whatever reason the provider was now expecting another MAC.

Numerous "bind: Address already in use" in the log

The log file of my AC-68P mostly consists of one and the same line repeating hundreds times: wsdd2[3726]: wsdd-http-v6: open_ep: bind: Address already in use Is this something to worry about?

I wish it could be real

This is what I see in Traffic Analyzer if I switch from "real-time" to pretty much anything else: Last 24 hours: The router is AC68P.

"Visit download site" directs to non-existing page

When in my AC68P I check for the update in the firmware interface, review "Release Note", and klick the button 'Visit download site", it goes to https://fwupdate.asuswrt-merlin.net/RT-AC68P , which results in 404 page not found.

    Updating from 386.3.2 to 386.4.0 fails - AX-GT11000

Can you tell more? How can an addon interfere?

Your ISP's DHCP does not function correctly

This is caused by the limitation where either the modem, or provider allows only one MAC connected to the modem. It remembers the MAC that connected first, so when you connect another, DHCP does not give out the address and the router shows this message. To fix, you need to either power cycle...

Feature Request: allow to see offline clients

I sent feature request to Asus and received a reply; if anyone wants to support and increase the chances for this to be implemented, you can send email to servicecenter_am@asus.com and tell them that you want to join the request from the ticket N2111043469-0001 .

Feature Request: allow to see offline clients

I don't see it. Where is it?

Feature Request: allow to see offline clients

Maybe it would be good move to equip this part of the UI with the checkbox "Show offline clients", or perhaps implement yet another tab - so it would be possible to configure the clients that are not online, by specifying their icon, internet access, and so on. Some dropdown lists in other...

In the log, the following two lines keep repeating hundreds of times: kernel: 192.168.1.35 already exist in UDB, can't add it and kernel: 7A:FC:BD:60:2A:9A not mesh client, can't update it's ip What gives?

Attempt to update firmware; router restarts, but no firmware update

I try to update the firmware from 386.2.4 to 3.2, on AC-68P to which I'm logged in remotely. As soon as I press the button, I see "Please wait, applying settings..." . In about 30 seconds remote router stop responding to ping for 2 more minutes, then resumes. I re-logon, and the log shows that...

ASUS firmware DHCP "Continuous Mode" potential fix for "ISP's DHCP did not function properly"

I just had this inevitable round of troubleshooting of this error. It does occur whenever there's some change of the cable modem. It had been going on for years, and it's a shame that it still has no solution. I connect the laptop to the cable modem, and it immediately acquires DHCP and works...

    UI in Network Tools

I spent more time on this page while my internet service was down, and got several more observations: 1. when the service is down and I run continuous ping, it shows the response 0ms, although in fact it's 100% loss. Since 0ms may also indicate perfect fast response, it may be confusing - and...

    UI in Network Tools

Of course, even better would be to remove the pre-determined dropdown completely. Anyone capable of managing his router does not need it.

Maybe you could put the attribute autocomplete="off"
