    ASUS RT-AC68U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.380.7743

I don't know what the heck Asus' engineers are smoking or why firmwares are not tested thoroughly, but version 7743 literally destroyed my wired speed. I tried a factory reset with no results, now my download speed is about 25-30% of the speed I previously had with other firmware versions. Same...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

So, please, Merlin or anybody, do you know what causes the significant drop in speed on ac68u by the 380 firmwares?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Flashed my AC68U from 378_56_2 without any problem, but as with every 380 release (Asus or Merlin), wired speed is significantly reduced. I kept asking here about this issue since the first 380 release, but I did not get any answer. Speedtest results went from 920 Mbps to 815 Mbps with the same...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Regardin the speed issues I previously mentioned here (http://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-380-57-is-now-available.29308/page-6#post-226522), please check the two speedtests made with 378_56_2 ( http://www.speedtest.net/result/4949817036.png) and then with 380_57 (...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Still unable to find out what's causing the severe speed drop on my 68u (A1 HW version), as pointed here (http://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-380-57-is-now-available.29308/page-2#post-226318). However, on my router, 2.4 GHz band seems to work fine. Merlin, would you be so kind to...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.57 is now available

Flashed my AC68U, factory reset, it is very slow, just like the official firmware it's based on. I went from 920 Mbps to 812 Mbps on speedtest (wired connection). Guess I'll revert to the previous firmware. Merlin, do you know what may cause this difference in speed between 378 and 380...

    ASUS RT-AC68U Version 3.0.0.4.380.1031

For me it is kinda slow. Usually I am getting something around 925/201 Mbps on Speedtest on a wired connection, with this firmware I am only getting 830-840/201 Mbps. Back to Merlin's 378_56_2.

    AC68U Hardware acceleration help needed

Hi guys, Today I started to mess with the Adaptive QoS settings of my AC68U and after I disabled back this feature, my HW acceleration shows only CTF, while CTF-FA was previously available. I flashed the neweste Merlin firmware, factory reseted the rooter, still no luck. Any help will be...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

A moron from Asus Romania just answered my claim. Basically he was saying that even though there are only 4 5 GHz channels available, their performance should be better. In the initial message I explained in detail how 5 GHz performance dropped significantly, how any attempt to manually change...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

Now the support website mentions the 3602 firmware as TW and US only. It took the idiots from Asus 3 days to realize that, while a lot of EU owners flashed the buggy firmware.

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

I've made yesterday a claim on Asus' support website, still not having an official answer from them. From what I have read here, they don't acknowledge the fact that the firmware is bugged. As soon as they answer I'll tell you, guys.

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

RMerlin, thanks again for your help, but, as jonstatt previously mentioned, these are not personal issues with range or the idea that one firmware is better than others: these are serious issues on Asus' side: there are only a few 5 Ghz available and no matter the selected channel, the router...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

Thank you for investigating this for us, RMerlin. What do you suggest to do in order to have those problems fixed? Also, I really don't understand what those ntpc errors are, as I haven't had any in the previous firmware.

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

I am too having the 1.0.2.0 bootloader without manually updating it (never did this) and i followed the same procedure I always use when flashing a newer firmware: flash the firmware, then factory reset. I even tried a hard reset (both ways, 30/30/30 and holding the WPS button when powering the...

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

I am having the same problems reported here, reverting to the former firmware does not solve the disappearance of the 5 GHz channels. Tried everything from hard resets to factory defaults. WTF? Asus is not testing their firmwares anymore? These are pretty big faults, not some small annoyances.

    NEW RT-AC68R FIRMWARE OUT 376.1665

Don't think 1665 is available anymore. Strange thing to upload an inferior version. Maybe they did a mistake yesterday and uploaded the wrong version, 1665 being a test version. I just speculate.

    NEW RT-AC68R FIRMWARE OUT 376.1665

So what's the correct version of the firmware? Yesterday I downloaded 1665, now every Asus support site has version 1663.
