    What hardware version and year is yours? And this is not a proof, this screenshot can be taken of you doing a speed test with an ethernet and claiming it to be with the Asus AC86U. Look at the one made available to you in the OP.

    BS, this is the most unstable router for Wifi, Wired speeds are good. The Netgear X4S beats the shirt out of the Asus AC86U. The Asus is only good if u prioritize features over performance. I just pulled up my cheap D-link DIR-882, and guess what, the wifi speeds seem to have improved.

    Are most Asus routers like this? My AC88U died due to overheat but that was my fault as I increased its power to 1 watt with third party firmware and the 68U just had poor range and would reboot. Now this AC86U is just not giving that 580 Mbps on WiFi constantly.

    Ok, so I tried plugging the same HDD into a different Router, and guess what the Backup went through with success. The other router is ASUS AC-86U. The one I'm trying to backup through is my main router (Netgear R7800), can it be because of the different samba versions both the routers use?
