    r7800 wireless lan speed

Try wired. Edit: Oh wait, just saw the screenshot, that's another issue. You need to select 80 mhz on the netgear router for your devices to achieve link rates such as 866 mbps or 1.3 gbps etc. It's a link speed issue.

Max throughput of 433 mbps Link rate... Achieving 330 mbps..Can we close the gap furthermore?

Oh, thanx for the info. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

Source: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/ea9500-x4s-ac88u-or-none-of-the-above.44289/ OP it's upto you to decide, how you want to improve the speeds. I'm just giving you a hint on what's good. I have owned both the ASUS AC88U and the AC68U, while both served me well neither of the above are...

    D-Link DIR-882 AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

Wired Performance on it is much better than Wireless performance. Speeds on Wireless doesn't seem to be consistent, although I can achieve speeds upto 526 mbps, but this speed is not always achieved. For me most of the time it's between 400- 500 mbps. Although when wired using the LAN ports of...

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

Since, Wifi 5 can do 500+ mbps, that should be plenty for transferring Huge files, although you would want close to gigabit if there were plenty of Big files or you would want to backup an entire Disk. In that case I see the importance of Wifi 6, but atm it's not mature and very few clients...

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

This also applies to Wifi Extenders, people always complain of extenders being slow etc. The moment you turn your Wifi Extender to an AP, the real benefit comes into place. Although I don't have a huge apartment, just a normal 1700 sq ft 2 bhk Home with Thick concrete walls, I do get speeds...

    D-Link DIR-882 AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

I know but that adds another layer of security wherein you're forced to type in special characters for the Router login password and uppercase letters, numbers mix. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

    D-Link DIR-882 AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

I meant to say that on lower band channels 36-48 I never got more than 230 mbps. When I select higher band channels. 149-165 I achieve 520 mbps which is max. Version 1.20, which is the latest as of now. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

    D-Link DIR-882 AC2600 MU-MIMO Wi-Fi Router Reviewed

I have this router (DIR-882) and as per my experience it's pretty good for the price but not the best. The router seems to have issues reaching speeds above 230 when it's run on channel 48 or lower on 5 GHz Wifi. The other thing is that the NAS only provides write speed on an USB 3.0 NTFS USB...

    D-Link’s AC2600 MU-MIMO Range Extender Now Shipping

I have the same exender, the only flaw I found is that, the antennas below should have been placed above, just like the TP-LINK RE650, as extenders sit low already. For me when I positioned the Antennas Upwards, I got the best signal from it, Typical V works the best when router is above the...

    R7800 sensitivity range

Setting the region to US works most of the time. Even on my cheap D-Link the signal strength went from 32 dbm to 20 dbm when I set it to US. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

I use seperate SSID for both the 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz. This helps you know which band you're connected to, eventhough I have smart connect option, I chose to create seperates for it. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

I think you didn't mention few thing such as security type and the wifi channel you're running these tests on. Yes, Wifi 6 needs to mature. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

When I connect to the Netgear R7800 X4s directly I achieve speeds up to 532 Mbps on all my 2x2 clients, which is basically maxing out my 500 Mbps connection.

WiFi 6 was not worth it for me ~ Journey of WiFi 6 AiMesh back to WiFi 5 UniFi ~

It's strange, that for the IphoneX you're just able to achieve speeds of 450 -460 mbps. What channel are you using? Was your Aimesh configured properly? I have an average setup which consists of Netgear R7800 ----> D-Link DAP 1860----> DIR-882, and achieve around 520 Mbps on my 2x2 devices...

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

Reaching at the complete opposite doesn't make it better, the thing with the Asus is, it's long range throughput is awful. Whereas the netgear provides much better throughput on stock firmware itself even on longer range. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

This was using a third party firmware. It definately burnt both of my radios on the router. I think it was due to cranking up the power. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

Those 2 models are very well know even today, AC68u and the AC88U, both of them had overheating issues and never gave good throughput in furthest reach of the house. NETGEAR X4s on US firmware will easily beat the other 2 in range but unfortunately it cannot be used as a wifi repeater. So I...

New RP-AC1900 in AiMesh, something weirds happening

He shouldn't be depending on Asus only. I have had 2 Asus fail on me. I suggested him the Netgear so that he gets stable 5GHZ wifi signal to the furthest reach and use only the other Asus as a repeater mode. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
