    Question: I set some devices to no filtering in Merlin for DNS filter, but checking adguard home it looks like they are still going through it. How do I verify in a config file that I installed it correctly?

    For DNS cache settings this is what I started using last night. My DNS queries went from 39-43ms to right now showing 26ms

    I don’t use https logins on mine. It worked with the username I setup when I first set everything up

    Yup that is what it looks like! Should I remove what I added? And does it take time for it to get the names?

    Hello all! I am trying to setup private reverse lookup and believe I followed the steps mentioned in the how to on the first page. But it doesn't appear to be getting host names. Any ideas? I named the domain lan, put in [/lan/]192.168.50.1:553 into the private lookup and also in the upstream.

    Ok so now it seems to be acting as expected. I reinstalled diversion yesterday and also changed Merlin to force doh to yes. I wonder if that was part of the issue, was set to auto before. since my % blocked went from about 1.5% to almost 14%

    So https according to the Logs should show blocked if it’s an ad? Mine is showing blocked for A record and then shows allowed for the same url over https.

    Right. I imported it into my Mac but haven’t into my phone yet. I saw it wasn’t required but I guess could help. I saw that you can do this for the router also..is that recommended?

    I made a change last night to force doh through the router instead of having set to auto. Doing some testing and went to some sites like cnn and nytimes and making sure my ad blockers are turned off on my web browser. dns leak shows quad9 which is correct, all of my devices point to 192.168.50.1...

    That helps. But I am seeing ads where there shouldn’t be. Stuff is getting blocked, but I am also seeing ads that I know are on the block list also. That is why I am confused

    Gotcha, the reason I asked is because I have yet to see that pixel that it was blocked. I didn't know that if that doesn't block it then diversion will with a blank space
