Problem with Intercept NTP client requests

I have a TP Link lightbulb that attempts sync with an NTP server but have it redirected to my router's chrony server with no issues.

Problem with Intercept NTP client requests

I had an issue a while ago with NTP where my router wouldn't update. I changed over to chrony and my ntp sync issues magically disappeared. Try switching and see if your devices will sync locally. Much easier than playing with iptables.

    Skynet / dnsmasq / Flowcache / Merlin 388 releases

Are the 388 issues you’ve encountered specific to v6 or are they with v4 as well? Which 386 release are you running and is it Asus WRT or Merlin?

How is NextDNS any different than other DNS resolvers? I’m not using the personalized version of NextDNS, FWIW and, for me, it’s consistently one of the fastest resolvers. That said, I’m genuinely interested in evidentiary concerns.

    Skynet / dnsmasq / Flowcache / Merlin 388 releases

Have you performed any performance tests? I’ve been toying with this idea as well and moving services like AGH to a Raspberry Pi.

Looks like they changed it back within a day to the original policy. If you look at the first stickied comment in the thread you linked, they state: Having read through the thread and [NextDNS’s privacy policy|https://nextdns.io/privacy], it seems pretty tight to me, in line, if not better...

I know this topic has morphed from the original but after doing some additional testing, I've rotated out google and rotated in NextDNS. It's consistently beating every other resolver for where I live. You can test the response time by going [here|https://ping.nextdns.io/]. Cloudfare is coming...

I tested with the unfiltered quad9, and for me, it was significantly slower. Any particular reason why your list order contains primary service IPs first then followed by secondary? Because they are all parallel queries, I would expect the ordering doesn’t make any difference. BTW - thank you...

AdGuardHome High google.com queries from my AP

I do this for a few of the more chatty queries already. I was just really surprised with the amount of queries coming from my AP and couldn’t figure out why and where they were coming from. @ColinTaylor helped figure out the mystery but still a bit at a loss as to why Asus is forcing this on...

AdGuardHome High google.com queries from my AP

Good news is that I was able to kill the ping query to google. Bad news is that the dns query to dns.msftncsi.com persisted. I‘ve changed that to 127.0.0.1. Any ideas why Asus wants this permanently on? This article from Asus’s website is less than clear to me as to the rationale for having this...

AdGuardHome High google.com queries from my AP

Thanks for your help. I've set them to be blank, so hopefully that resolves the issue. Never would have thought an unchecked box means "enabled".

I enabled and then disabled both of those to see if it resolves the issue

I thought that too but both of those are unchecked:

AdGuardHome High google.com queries from my AP

Trying to figure out what the source of this is on my AP which is running no addons, servers, etc. NTP is set to : pool.ntp.org and time.nist.gov. I moved the AP to a new IP and pinged the old IP just to make sure there were no conflicts and there isn't. Any suggestions on where to look?

Issues with Merlin 388.2.2 on RT-AX88U

Are you running any addons like diversion, skynet, or unbound?

Best just to copy from ajax_coretmp.asp, which is what I did and it’s an alpha “L” and not numerical “1”. I’m guessing that curr_coreTmp_52_raw is if you have a second 5GHz radio, which I do not have. If you have one, then you’ll want to update with the files from the output of ajax_coretmp.asp...

    scMerlin scMerlin temperatures not populated

You'll need to make the same changes to whatever /www/user/user#.asp matches scmerlin. For me it was user2.asp. Just search the user files for curr_core success: function(response){ code = '<b>2.4 GHz:</b><span> ' + curr_coreTmp_wl0_raw + '</span>'...

    OpenSpeedTest as an Addon

Many thanks to @Viktor Jaep, @thelonelycoder, @SomeWhereOverTheRainBow, and @OpenSpeedTest for all your contributions to help make this happen. Love this forum and group of people. 😀

    OpenSpeedTest as an Addon

Why would you not want to run this on the router? My goal is to find the channel and settings that would provide the maximum performance. Seems like eliminating an external connection would be ideal. Sure I could setup an ftp server and perform a transfer to a client but a local speedtest server...
