    Wireless Router with L2TP Server?

Just wondering if there's a good wireless router with L2TP server built in? I know Asus has OpenVPN and PPTP, but no L2TP and as far as I know L2TP is not any less secure than let's say OpenVPN, and of course PPTP should be avoided ... Right now I'm using and RT-AC1900P which has pretty good...

Best wireless router with fast CPU for high VPN throughput?

Ok thanks for the info! Any product recommendations that can include an L2TP VPN server, doesn't have to have WiFi as I can use the existing router for that ... Do Netgear routers support L2TP VPN as I can't find any info on that?

Which Easy to set up router as VPN server

Interesting, I'm thinking about moving my RT-AC1900P upstairs as I have a cable run already and just using it as an bridged wireless AP to get better coverage upstairs, but I wanted a good reliable router with at least 4 LAN ports that can do L2TP VPN server, which Asus does not :) That HP...

Best wireless router with fast CPU for high VPN throughput?

Yeah I was curious about it, as in the official documentation it says it can do 200 mbit VPN throughput, and 920 mbit NAT throughput which I thought was pretty good ... It also supports VLANS and stuff Asus does not support at all .

AC8260 & AC8265 major connection issues with Asus routers ...

Yeah, I've emailed Asus directly through a contact I had and they promised to have a look at this ... but we will see what happens,- this seems to affect most or ALL intel adapters and AC68U (or more units) so it's a pretty big issue, but only in 2.4 ghz. In the meantime I'm looking at...

AC68U (was TM-AC1900) connection on 2.4ghz drops for a few minutes every few hours

Running on older drivers isn't really a fix, how about Asus (or Broadcom) fixes this in their newest firmwares (drivers) as I still see an issue there: https://communities.intel.com/message/538899 https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ac8260-ac8265-major-connection-issues-with-asus-routers.46205/

AC8260 & AC8265 major connection issues with Asus routers ...

Probably same issue as this, but what's the fix without running custom firmware? https://www.snbforums.com/threads/ac68u-was-tm-ac1900-connection-on-2-4ghz-drops-for-a-few-minutes-every-few-hours.32992/ Another issue that's probably identical, but the fix is to replace router...

AC8260 & AC8265 major connection issues with Asus routers ...

Has anyone noticed weird issues with their RT-AC68U (and RT-AC1900P, etc) router and pretty much any Intel WiFi adapter (specifically Intel AC826x adapters) on 2.4 Ghz? Here's the thread I contacted Intel about this, and all the testing I've done...

    review of INTEL® WIRELESS-AC 9260/9560?

I don’t know about the 9260, but I know the 8260 and 8265 have huge issues with the rt-ac1900p (probably same with the rt-ac68u I imagine) when you connect using 2.4 ghz band. I tried 2 different laptops with 2 different cards, and 2 different routers (same model) and both had major connection...

    RT-AC68U / RT-AC68P / RT-AC1900 / RT-AC1900P

I wonder if the RT-AC68U revisions that have a c0 running 1000 mhz can be switched to 1400 mhz? My RT-AC1900P is clkfreq 1400,800 and cpurev c0 ...

Little bit off topic but I've noticed the official firmwares for RT-AC68U and RT-AC1900P are binary identical: RT-AC1900P_3.0.0.4_380_3831-g93dfe8c.trx = RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4_380_3831-g93dfe8c.trx

I've decided to return the AC68U and getting an AC1900P, bestbuy.ca has it on sale for $180 CAD, so about $133 USD :) (Ouch it's $199 USD on bestbuy.com, weird ...) At least that one will have a 1.4 ghz cpu.
