    The RT-AC1900P that bestbuy.ca is selling is a 1.4 ghz ... Unless asus changed it again, but they still market as that.

    Looking at all the posts it just looks like it's a complete mess :) B2 can be 800/1000, A2 can be 800/1000, C1 can be 800/1000 A1 is only 800, E1 only 1000 but who knows, very nice ...

    It looks like T-mobile can be converted to a real Asus, by changing the bootloader plus loading official firmware, the only issue is needing a US credit card to order one :) And of course it's still a regular 800Mhz unit. As far as I know the AC1900 is just a regular AC68U, no? and the AC1900P...

    It was from Staples.ca, I checked local store and they only have an A2 left, and the C1 I already picked up was only 800Mhz ... I'm screwed :)

    Of course a C1 is also not guaranteed to be 1Ghz ... See my post above: I just picked up a Revision C1, RT-AC68U and it's 800Mhz, no FA ... nvram get clkfreq 800,666 nvram get bl_version 1.0.2.1

    Damn, ordered another one but this time got an A2 - no point unboxing it :) It also says manufacture date 2016, and firmware 3.0.0.4.380_3264

    Strange that it says C1 (sealed box) and yet it would be A1/B1, It also says manufacture date 2016, firmware 3.0.0.4.380_3264 380 firmware makes me think they downclocked, but then it should show Flow acceleration under network and it doesn't ...

    Yes, both the box and unit show HW C1, This was from Staples In Canada ... I could possibly replace it but I'm guessing the others will be same, Maybe asus changed speeds after latest firmware upgrade?

    3.0.0.4.378.4850 on RT-N66U isn't very stable - utorrent activity will cause a router reboot every 2-3 minutes ...

    Nothing happens, I loaded it on a Canadian version, english default. Didn't reset the settings, maybe it defaults to Japanese but I doubt it. I think channel wise Japan has more than Canada so wouldn't matter, although I only see up to 11 so as best as I can tell all f/w are universal.
