    I put up with a broken setting on my AX88U when I got it earlier this year. I installed Merlin straight away and started using the router. Scheduling just didn't work. I gave up, reset the routers setting to factory defaults, and the Scheduling works. It's just the way code works.

    There are devices that don't play well with Smart Connect. Turn it off and simply set separate SSIDs for the bands. For example, 2.4Ghz can be "name" And 5Ghz can be "name_5G" And you connect the device to the band of your choice, preferably 5Ghz. If not, then 2.4Ghz.

    In a nutshell, Install Merlin, then reset to Factory Default Settings. Then you can start setting up the router.

    Exactly why I now use a 120GB SSD. USB stick failed twice and could not be found by Skynet after running for about a week. Diversion and Skynet now running fine after a few weeks now.

    Running all listed in my signature. Although I want to use YazFi, as it would be great to make proper use of the guest accounts on the AX88U. Will have to wait until the router is not being used by anyone before installing. Will also look into NTPMerling as well.

    So the cheap USB stick that I was using in my AX88U is faulty I think, 2nd time that Skynet cannot find disk and Diversion is working, but AMTM shows it as uninstalled.     Just picked up an AC88U and it's 5Ghz output is roughly 15dbm lower than my AX88U, AC68U, and AC87U! It just seems to have a very low output. Having said all this, the connection speed is amazing! Just don't get it. Has anyone had this issue? It's running the latest Merlin firmware.

    When you flashed Merlin, you need to reset the settings to Factory Default settings, its a tick box nest to the restore. Then set the router up again. Don't use 160Mhz and manually set your 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. Don't use smart connect.

    This happened very early on in ownership of my AX88U. I put up with this for months. Then I decided to reset the router and default to factory settings. The last bit here is important, defaulting the settings. Once this was done, I had to set the router up again but the scheduling works now.
