    It took me a while to set mine back up, I have a few devices with static IPs and CCTV cameras. Although it fixed the issues I had Seems high. My AX88U runs at 63 degrees C. Ambient is about 23 degrees C.

    As long as you have the latest Merlin Firmware loaded, just go to... Administration > Restore/Save/Upload setting > Factory Default 'Restore' And make sure you tick the box to Initialize all the settings.

    Its not the hardware, I had a similar issue when I brought my AX88U. Scheduling was broken. I loaded Merlin firmware on it and started using the router. Problem was that I didn't restore to factory default after I uploaded the new firmware. Scheduling and parental controls work for me now. So...

    Upgraded to RT-AX88U from RT-AC68U: One Device Can't See SSID

    In the 'Wireless' settings turn off 'Enable Smart Connect' and set separate SSIDs for your 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. Then see if it will connect to one of them, probably the 2.4Ghz band.

    Yep, looks very comprehensive. I like this. So, I'm just going to go for it tomorrow. 30 mins downtime. I'll stick it after our modem, before the AX88U, stick the AX88U in AP mode. Then a 2nd LAN from pfsense to the 8 port switch, which runs LAN throughout the house. Thanks everyone.

    It's a card that's installed. I'm going to remove it. I have 2 quad intel gigabit NICs that I'm going to install to get 9 gigabit ports total; 8 on the cards installed, and the 9th on the motherboard. Thanks. I'm going to experiment with this a little.

    Yep, Worked perfectly on my AC68U with the old firmware. Brought the AX88U, installed the new firmware, and this feature is now broken. As you said, any device you schedule gets blocked permanently. Did you install the previous firmware to get it working?

    Keep it simple. A wireless link should be your last option. Fiber is overkill here; 23 meter line. 30 meters, just to round it up, is not that long. Bury or suspend a CAT6 cable across the buildings and call it a day. Reliable, simple, trouble free.

    Nice, I have set up OpenVPN server on the router but it won't let me connect to the router, even though I can connect to my devices on the LAN. I'll have a look at the settings and see if its something there I need to change.
