    AC56U issues

    Can you disable the wifi on your built in other router ? Did you update to latest firmware ? How is the wired connection ? Set the wifi to a specific channel, try different channels.

    Power off router, power off cable modem. Wait 2 minutes. Power on cable modem. Wait it 5 minutes. Power on router. Wait it 5 minutes. Login to the router.

    I agree, except that high end wireless routers such as Cisco dont have as many problems, wireless consumers routers that have to be built at a price point do have more problens. My 871 never had any issues.

    Conseti I know this is no consolation but I had the same issues with rt-n66u you are having with the rt-ac66u.... I returned it. Cut your loses and keep what works. I will try the new ac56 to see if Asus got it right this time....is a different chip so I am hoping....for better

    How many RT-AC56U users out there?

    Hi, what certain situations ? Can you expand on this ? I had all the RT-N66U and N65U versions and they all disconnected from the ISP all over sudden. Hope the AC56U does not have the issue.

    May just have to return this router..

    Mine had problem with 354 fw. Is fine with 270 fw. Press and hold the button on the left for like 15 seconds and set it up again.

    I upgraded to 354 when it came out few days back. Came home today and no internet. Rebooted the router couple of times no go. Plugged pc in cable modem internet working. Tried router power off, on couple of times again, reboot, no go. I then put back 270 and internet is back. I did not have time...
