Asus Zenwifi XT12 blinking blue light

My settings are at stock settings, so also set to Performance. After restoring the set-up everything works amazing. Even at my 2nd node I get 900 Mbps (I have a 1Gbit ethernet sub.). So that's a loss of 100Mbps for what I can put my fingers in fire, amazing. @OzarkEdge yes I did. Doesn't...

Asus Zenwifi XT12 blinking blue light

What I am asking myself: Asus sells these devices with some kind of marketing. But for me it’s not working. The 2nd node keeps crashing/losing connection. And my router and node are pretty much close to each other (8 meters with a little wall and door between them).

Asus Zenwifi XT12 blinking blue light

That's a good option to consider. My question was if Merlin did make some changes to this AiMesh that it will not disconnect. I did install RMerlin this morning, but my 2nd node stays orange/yellow and speed is far more slow than official. So I have to return my XT12 and keep using my XT8 with...

Asus Zenwifi XT12 blinking blue light

Well I did reset everything for the 50th time. But it's a very fast blinking blue light which indicates that the router can't communicate with the main router. It makes it crash. The blinking blue light does not go over after a reboot.

Asus Zenwifi XT12 blinking blue light

Hi, Am I doing something wrong? I'm using wifi backhaul for my 2nd node. I had the same problem with the blinking blue light after a few days of usage with my XT8 and now with my brand new XT12: same problem after 3 days of usage. The 2nd node is crashing (which is connected by wifi backhaul)...

    Zenwifi Pro XT12 2.4GHz wifi

@rappel I disabled Wifi 6 on the 2.4GHz band and for now it’s working again. Since I don’t need all the latest tech on that band, it’s fine like this.

    Xt12 vs 8

Indeed no 6E. But about speed in same conditions as the XT8: I get like 300/400 more Mbps at devices which are connected by cable to the 2nd XT12 which is connected by wireless backhaul to the main XT12. Other wifi devices get like 150/200 Mbps more speed over Wifi. I think that’s because the...

    Zenwifi Pro XT12 2.4GHz wifi

Hi, i do have a question. Some of my 2,4GHz devices can’t find the 2,4GHz network of my all new XT12. In one review I read this was a known situation. does anyone know why? Settings are the same as in my old XT8. No wpa 3.

    Xt12 vs 8

I did move from the XT8 to the XT12. Since my 2nd node is connected by wifi backhaul, I did experience a lot of stabilty issues since 2020. So far so good with the XT12. Much faster and coverage is better. But if you have 0 problems with the XT8, you could stick to that one

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.49873 (2022/08/04)

I did go through 8 sets of XT8's. All of them had the same problem. The light of the 2nd node is becoming yellow and the connection drops. So in my opinion this is a FW bug which exists since 2020!! There's only one FW (the beta) which works like it should. And yes I do reset all my nodes before...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.49873 (2022/08/04)

I don't know what Asus is doing, but since they released the XT8 (and I've gone through 8 sets of XT8's) they can't fix the wireless backhaul problem! And again, after installing the most recent FW and usage of 2 days I got a yellow light on my node which is connected through wireless backhaul...

    Offical XT8 Firmware or Beta?

I completely understand this, but 9.0.0.4.386.46980 is by far the most stable FW Asus ever released for me (XT8). With every other FW I had issues with wireless backhaul (weak connection, dropping connection, no internet). With this beta I do remember how a router should work and till now 0 issues.

    Poll - XT8 Firmware - 48706 - wireless backhaul stability

For me personally 9.0.0.4.386.46980 is the best FW Asus ever released for the XT8. The only and only FW that causes no issues for me while using wireless backhaul at stock settings.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

Oh really? Nice to hear. Asus says you have to put the node within 3 meters.

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

Updating the XT8's and start from beginning is pretty difficult if you use wireless backhaul. Since I have to disconnect every device, take the node close to my router and start from beginning this process costs me like 60 minutes. I think in the past we got used to behave like this, but if you...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.386.48706 (2022/05/03)

I did update without problems. How do you know this update contains the IoT fix? Build number does not say everything. BTW: I do update without any reset. More folks update like this or do you always start from beginning?
