    160MHz

What setting for channel bandwidth do you use: 20,40,80,160 or 80? Is it best to auto select channel or manually select to say 153 or 161? I am in a single family home with little interference in the area.

    160MHz

On GT-AX6000 (running latest Merlin), when I set the channel bandwidth to anything other than 160MHz I am able to manually set the control channel. But when I set the channel bandwidth to only 160MHz it forces auto control channel and on some of the channels my AiMesh node (RT-AC68U) doesn't...

GT-AX6000 with a big price drop in comparision to RT-AX88u Pro

Actually I think the GT-AX600 ROG looks better but the 88u Pro does look more like a "regular" router.

GT-AX6000 with a big price drop in comparision to RT-AX88u Pro

Amazon is $260 for the GT-AX6000 v $220 for the RT-AX88u Pro. I got the GT-AX6000 for $236 w/coupon on Amazon ~6 mos ago and it works great. Christmas time and they are trying to move product for sales numbers when earnings announced next month.

    Network Map not refreshing

I have been running 3004.388.4_0_rog on GT-AX6000 main with RT-AC68U node for quite a while and the network map has been refreshing as expected (knock on wood!). I just reboot everything once a week, but I probably don't have to do that anymore. I can provide other settings if you want.

Setup a firewall rule to block UDP port 443 from client IP address to any address

Ok I did that but still buffers constantly. I'll have to see if there's other ways (possible YouTube app problem). Thanks for your help.

Setup a firewall rule to block UDP port 443 from client IP address to any address

This is a question. The steps and comments in regular type are recommended by a different forum user. My responses are in bold for this forum.

Setup a firewall rule to block UDP port 443 from client IP address to any address

I have a TCL Roku TV and when I try the YouTube app it just buffers constantly. Someone on a forum said they fixed it by: 1.) Setup a static DHCP lease of my firewall to ensure that the TV always gets the same IP Done 2.) Setup a firewall rule to block UDP port 443 from the television's IP...

    Network Map not refreshing

Ok thanks, that's what I thought. I think I'll disable reboot schedule and just do once in a while as needed.

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

I figured this out for anybody that has the same issue and configured it like I did. Because all of my devices can run 5GHz I set router and node to 5GHz and turned off 2.4GHz on both router (Wireless settings) and node (AiMesh: Management). Turns out the node needs 2.4GHz to "communicate"...

    Network Map not refreshing

I have the router on a nightly scheduled reboot just because network map freezes. Is it bad (hard on router) to reboot the router that frequent?

    Network Map not refreshing

I will try when it freezes next. What folder did you add? "the samba smb.conf located for my router in /etc/smb.conf I edited this to add a folder that wasnt showing"

    Network Map not refreshing

Any update on this? Really annoying that the network map doesn't refresh (frozen) and have to reboot the router just for that.

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

No everything is stable and runs great (does not disconnect). I only pointed out that if I reboot the node (RT-AC68W) by itself it will not reconnect to the mesh. If I reboot the system through AiMesh menu it does. This all came about because I was trying to figure out a way to reboot the...

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

Speed is around 1000Mbps (connection to main router), -59 dBm, no major interference in the area (3500 sq ft single family home). I've tried 160 wide with dfs but I find 80 is better as most of my devices are AC not AX. Yes backhaul is on the same link as traffic but I'm getting 3-4 bars on...

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

Actually have good connection. RT-AC68W is a 1300Mbps (5 GHz band 802.11ac) router and the connection between the main router and node is usually around the 1000Mbps range.

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

Yes it is very stable and working good now. I can restart the mesh system if needed. Thanks for all your help.

Solved Node does not reconnect to AiMesh after reboot

no. From everything I've read you never want that enabled (security risk).
