    Thanks all. I think I'll run RMerlin on both and not reboot and see how things go for a while. I might replace the RT-AC68W with an "extender". L&LD, you recommended the GT-AX6000 to me and it's great. Any recommendations on an extender? 2 story ~3500 sq ft house.

    I flashed the latest ASUS-WRT (factory firmware) but same result. After rebooting it won't connect to AiMesh.

    BTW, I think I saw some posts that said if the system is setup correctly and stable you should never have to reboot the system. Is that correct? Maybe I shouldn't be rebooting, although when I do it seems to reset/clear some IPs (and memory?).

    I flashed 3004.388.4_0, then did factory reset with initialize all settings and just noticed that 2.4Ghz is broadcasting again. Is there a particular order this should be done? I can't disable 2.4Ghz radio. I saw the following thread but nobody really answered him...

    Thanks for all your help L&LD, especially recommending the GT-AX6000. It's so much more than my old RT-AC68U! I do have the 68U meshed and it seems to be pushing good connection to several devices (PHY rate Tx/Rx ~1000Mbps). I know people recommend not mixing AX/AC but if it works it works?
