    I have smart connect on and my phone for example connects to the 5ghz channel. Is the issue isolated to the 2.4ghz channel?

    So if I'm flashing the firmware is it good practise to reset and then restore from a backup and then do the above for dhcp reservations?

    So once I'm connected you just start typing the above commands? What about your WiFi SSD etc? Can they be backed up this way? Why have the backup/restore option in the GUI if it's not worth using?

    Anyone else having this issue? Arrived home today to speeds of under 5M on a 360M line. Quick off and on of the WiFi on my router and everything is back up to full speed. I don' think this happens on the standard Asus firmware.

    Was thinking open and closed is better. It' merlin firmware I'm on so that's a good thing I guess. What about android boxes for streaming. I'm guessing they request ports to be open? Anyone have security issues with them or best practise when it comes to them. Cheers for the prompt reply.

    As far as I remember the firewall was off from when I bought this router. Don' think the app had anything to do with it. Im all confused now lol
