    ad blocking

2 pihole servers + ublock currently run pihole on my own build home server and my nas, altho you bassicly wanna run it on its own device that does not get any high loads. I use pihole also as local dns for network booting from local web adresses.

kernel: FPM Pool 1: invalid token 0x21950000 freed

You can just tell if the order is 1 of these 2 its fine If its 568B for example on 1 end it should be on other end as well unless 2 of same devices are connected i believe. I bassicly had white orange and orange swapped in place on 1 end on my modem, if the one who terminated it did not check...

kernel: FPM Pool 1: invalid token 0x21950000 freed

Funny story these errors i may used to have had, i had a rj45 connector from modem to the wan of my router terminated wrong acording to 568b standard first 2 wires where wrong order for me on 1 end, this caused wan instability random disconnects sometimes once a month would drop to 100 mbps, its...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 is now available

Im curious what kind of work and effort go's into making new merlin firmware, i wish i could install dd wrt but as most probably know that is not possible because of the wifi driver on the ax88u

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Would be cool to run pihole directly from router, i know if i can manage to deploy docker on my armv8 64 nas then there should be no reason ax88u cannot either other then storage limitation perhaps, altho would probably not any heavy containers that use a lot of memory

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

I noticed something of similar nature as well, like it does not automaticly logout when you next time login it looks like you are logged in but information does not show, then when you try change something it blocks you and asks password meaning you just filled in everything for nothing, however...

Is it possible to make router act like ipam gateway ipv6 as well while handing out ipam adresses to a certain range ? via dnsmasq.conf.add ? while also giving out non ipam ipv6 ip's ?

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Having a uptime meter for wan would be cool, not like having long uptime on router it self is any challenge, by vpn used to disconnect daily until i found out rj45 was terminated incorrectly for wan at the modem, first 2 wires where swapped and it would forgot ipv4 existed once a month or drop...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Wan dns is so buggy it will say it has no internet and keep wan up you have different dns configured by another dhcp server for example from nas, internet keeps working then router will act like a child and block wan randomly only cos it cannot reach dns even tho its online, as if some kind of...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Try different dns server, if had some odd problems my self even with asus firmware no idea why wan is configured sometimes to shutoff simply by having no contact with dns

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Already beta hmmmm tempting. Just quick question tho, the temps reported are the same temps i would have with non merlin firmware right ? Beta runs fine so far and wifi no longer thinks it still needs to be setup with 64 character wifi password

    ipv6

Think it does not work unless your gateway is also a link local adress, while those routers running with ipam or whatever its called use ipam address as gateway, im not sure if you could setup more then one gateway

    ipv6

Thanks i made it with setting it to pihole link local adress that everyone claims wont work but pings just fine from my machine that never changes.

    ipv6

Would it be possible to get this option for ipv6 ? and a way to have ula adresses or whatever its called bassicly a static ipv6 range just like ipv4 has static range for example 192.168.50.2 - 192.168.50.254 ? currently router is setting dns to router it self with ipv6 while with ipv4 it does...

    ax88u ipv6 configuration

resolved by setting dns in wan but this makes wan unstable, i have no idea why its using wan dns to forward instead of the dns if set in ipv6 only, its bassicly dropping out wan fully just cos of dns being set in wan

    ax88u ipv6 configuration

How do i shutup my router to send out its own ipv6 dns and let pihole do the dhcp portion, for some reason 1 out of 10 times i am getting router dns instead of pihole dns, dhcp is turned off already, im pulling my hair out right now, setting dns of pihole in my router simply refuses to work...

    Weird ipv6 issues with ax88u

I have docker running with many containers on my nas lancache + pihole + network boot server with a local webserver that pihole has local dns setup for and works together with network boot. But when i enable ipv6 and set my own dns to my pihole as it has its own ipv6 adress, everything breaks...
