    Yes, same IPTV settings. It will just about cope with one HD and one SD channel but with two CPU 1 maxes out. Even with one HD channel it runs around 75%. 1 HD IPTV 2 HD IPTV 2 HD IPTV with AiP off Do you have AiP switched on? HB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    OK thanks; I feared that this would be the case. I don’t really want to switch it off as I have two young children and their friends using the WiFi and like the first line of defence that it offers. In your opinion would it be better to contact Trend Micro directly on this? Many thanks, HB

    @Merlin. Something in the AiProtection causes my RT-AC68U to go into a CPU meltdown. If there’s moderate load such as two IPTV streams the CPU use rockets and eventually the router grinds to a halt throttling all bandwidth. With AiProtection switched off it is fine.     I'm experiencing the same with this ASUS release on my RT-AC68U and also Merlin's beta 382 and alpha 384 builds. I have done a full factory reset - no difference. Any moderate load seems to trigger it and this is especially the case with IPTV. HB

    For anyone interested I think I’ve found a solution. After lots of trial and error tonight I found that something has changed with the DNS filtering (within AiProtection). I have had Norton Family set as the router default since introduced with none of the issues described in my posts above...

    RT-AC68U 382.3A. I’m still getting traffic slowdown when dealing with a modest load or more. Only a reboot temporarily cures it. Is this a known issue with 382? Is it fixed in 384? HB

    I’m not familiar with the Hauwei but unless you connect a modem in bridge mode to the RT-AC68 then things like IPTV are unlikely to work. Have you considered the DSL-AC68? This has a modem inbuilt and may better serve your needs. The downside with this is that there is no WRT Merlin firmware...
