    I too have a 1gig symmetrical fiber connection and I turn on the adaptive Qos without any slowdown really. It may not be needed but I like to see all the stats on the classification tab. I think it's some weird OCD thing maybe, wanting to look at all those meaningless numbers all the time. Lol.

    Ok, I got the latest alpha working on my AX88U after a dirty install over 384.8_2 Thanks for the screen shots on 5ghz setup, Merlin.

    I tried both alpha 2 versions to the same issue. I have 384.8_2 on it now and all is well.

    Well, even wi-fi devices maintain a connection even in low power mode and can be seen on the wi-fi log page as well.

    I don't understand why this is such a hard thing to fix... It is very annoying to me as well. I want to be able to see everything connected. But I believe it is hard coded in ASUS code and Merlin may not be able to do anything about it.

    Tried this one on my AX88U and couldn't get the 5G radio to work. Tried a reset with initialize box checked still a no go. Plus the router was very sluggish and slow to respond during initial setup after reset. Went back to the ASUS .5640 and 5G radio is back on.

    I'd like that too but he's already stated he's too busy now. That GT-AC5300 was a much different interface than the RT version. Think I'm going to sell mine and get the RT-AX88U.

    The "feature" would be that you have a reliable list of all the devices connected to your network. ASUS is horrible at this task. I have a network extender and anything connected to it will not show up on the client list. Yes, you can look at the DHCP list but that does not tell you if they are...

    Why is it so hard to have a reliable client list?? Do other router manufactures have the same problems? I haven't tried any Linksys stuff in a while.

    Seems to be happening on all forms of ASUS hardware regardless of stock or Merlin. Must be the TrendMicro 2.100 signature version update.

    I see the same thing on AC86U with Merlin's latest firmware. Router is working fine though. No loss of internet.

    Yeah, I don't use any of that stuff. Maybe the GT-AC5300 is overkill. Maybe just sell it and stick to the AC86U.

    So are 4 cores really doing anything more for downloading and uploading to the internet? I have GT-AC5300 and a 1G/1G fiber connection and when I download or upload at my max speeds, I only ever see 1 core being utilized. Same on my RT-AC86U.
