    AX88U painful first few days

I understand and I always felt bad becaue I have a fairly modern router that I am stuck to using old firmware and I've seen many similar threads about random disconnections where the router would be on and it says it is connected but it wouldn't have any internet connectivity until you rebooted...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

Right, I meant that the 160hz channel is not enabled by default in any ASUS router configuration so far.Not talking about the advanced settings of the Wireless card in device manager. He may have enabled it manually in the router which is why I am recommending him to disable it temporarily and try.

    AX88U painful first few days

Just for testing, Install and older firmware, none of the 386.XX or 388.XX ones: ASUS RT-AX88U Router Firmware 3.0.0.4.384.9579 When I had the AX88U, it was working perfectly on 384.xx firmware but would always randomly disconnect the internet on newer firmware so I had to stick to the older...

GT-AXE11000 experiencing random disconnects on one Windows machine

The 160hz is disabled by default, you must have enabled it yourself. It's in the Wireless tab towards the bottom, just uncheck it, hit apply, then reboot the router just to be on the safe side. I have an Intel AX210 in both my laptops and have 0 issues even connecting to the 160hz band.

    AX88U PRO hit FCC

so still, it seems like the GT-AX6000 is the best bang for the buck in terms of price and features. On a side note, my previous RT-AX88U was the worst router I owned, any firmware past 384.xx would cause the router to randomly disconnect then get internet back after a minute, I tried many...

Is the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 being discontinued?

It's the best router I ever owned. Excellent wireless coverage and superb performance, not one disconnection since I got it unlike the previous RT-AX88U which used to work great on earlier firmware but on the newer firmware it was disconnecting randomly all the time. It was so good that I...

Is the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 being discontinued?

    1) Do you need WiFi 6E? 2) Do you need a tri-band router or would dual band be enough? 3) Are you in a rush now or can you wait for 3-6 months? ASUS is releasing new WiFi 7 routers soon which means there will be newer and better routers or that means it would cause the current routers to drop in...

Is the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 being discontinued?

Possibly, it's a 2 year old overpriced router. I wouldn't come near it with a 10 foot pole! There are much better routers now for less money.

    AX3000v2 vs AX86U

What do you mean by AX-GT6000 v2? I have 2 GT-AX6000 but didn't know that there's a v1 or v2? Please elaborate. The GT-AX6000 has the same processor as the AX-86U Pro so it's a bargain for its price right now EDIT: Nevermind, I had a brain fart, didn't realize it's the AX-3000 you were...

Replacing the Asus RT-AC68U - need something with good range

out of the routers you mentioned, the AX-GT6000 is the best one now for the money in terms of performance and wireless range. It also has the newer 2.0 GHz CPU. I bought 2 of them as I live in a large 2 story house to cover the entire house in AIMesh mode. It's the best router I've owned so far.

XT8: Why are different firmware versions suggested for router vs. node?

Maybe the built in updater through the router's interface or the app is only checking the firmware for the main router. Just upgrade both manually, there is no reason the main router's firmware would be different than the node.
