RT-AX86U PRO page now up ...

I wish I knew. At first I thought I had a lemon but then I thought, if 384.xx firmware NEVER gives me a disconnection issue and any firmware with 386.xx would randomly disconnect, something must be wrong. Like the laptop would be connected to the router and if I check the ASUS Router page it...

What's the benefit of enabling the 160hz?

It is set to disabled by default on ASUS routers and I also noticed many members here don't enable it. What is the benefit of it anyway? Does it give any extra speed for Wireless clients that have an AX WLAN card and why is it disabled by default?

    GT-AXE16000 and bufferbloat

it can be many things 1) our ISPs are different? I live in Dubai and have a fibre connection 1GBPS down/300 MBPS up 2) I ensured to turn off all programs that use internet before the test 3) the GT-AX6000 has a newer 2.0 GHz processor 4) Finally, your router's settings, have you changed...

That is a steal! Just got mine 2 weeks ago here in Dubai for 735 CAD then a week later the price dropped to 627 CAD so you are basically getting it for free almost considering how good it is and it has the new processor just like the AX86U PRO

    RT-AX86U vs GT-AX6000

I had the AX88U and any firmware after the 384.xx range (ie. 386.xx) would cause the router to intermittently disconnect from the internet until I rebooted it. This happened both on the ASUS official firmware and on the Merlin Firmware. It was perfectly fine on older firmware and I've seen...

What do you use the USB connection for?

When I had a Netgear Nighthawk R7000, it had a built-in Plex Media Server so I am wondering how you guys make use of the USB port in the router. I tried it years ago but all it gave me was some browser-based interface to access the external HDD and when trying to play a movie, it wouldn't stream...

    RT-AX86U vs GT-AX6000

Yes, and the AX86U is better than the AX88U so the GT-AX6000 is the one to go for now in terms of price and performance.

To QOS or not to QOS

I never saw the advantage of QoS, especially with today's fast internet speeds that are accessible to most people. If anything, I don't want anything throttling my internet speed and even if I was downloading something at full speed then try to download something else simultaneously on the same...

    ASUS GT-AX6000 vs GT-AXE11000 vs RT-AX89X

Just got the AX6000 and straight out of the box without any tweaks using the latest ASUS firmware, I am getting an A Grade in Buffer bloat on my 1gbps down/300 mbps up connection where my previous Netgear Nighthawk AX6 would get a C or B grade Result
